Just heard Channellock is going to launch a locking pliers line. It'll be made in Spain from Grip-On. I told them to buy Malco and do a US made line of pliers but we'll give these a shot if the price is right.

Western Forge was the OEM for the proto click stop adjustables. I've never seen that clickstop feature on another brand besides Proto though. They're no longer in business but they used to make adjustables for just about everyone (SK, Wright, Proto, Armstrong, Williams, Etc)

I recently took a tour of Wright's factory and what stood out to me was they have everything done in-house. They make their own dies, they dropforge, heat treat, chrome, everything. Most tool manufacturers do some of that, but then have to ship it around the country for the rest of those steps...

For some reason they never sent us the straight jaw 7" so we didn't order any when we restocked.

I'm assuming it's all new production but there's no real way to be sure. Got the shipment in today.

We've had one shipment from them since they moved. All 1/4" and 3/8" socket sets. Just got a bill for another shipment on Friday for the same kind of stuff. Looks the same as it always had. All stamped USA. No wrenches though.

Just got a deal on these sets from a government supplier. Most people that find them useful are refrigeration guys. The ones we got say "Stride". Have some random Bonneys in the basement and I've seen Wright and SK also private label these as well. Wouldn't be surprised if Stride was the one...
