if it is really a crack, yes. But for me it looks only like a scratch from the housing also to the center gear/drive - by something ugly like a scriber. So for a self made scratch, no.

The condition isn't that bad after all - you could leave it that way. It's also more useful, because in perfect condition you're worry about any scratch while handling it in the garage. In some such cases, however, I decide to repaint. The outside is enough here. Cover the Hazet sign with tape...

"Stahlwille" is also a good German brand for premium tools
