Amazon Deals on New Retail Items - Post them!

If your wife/gf has a silhouette/cameo stencil cutter? Would it be practical to acid etch the metal? And one would need to consider whether to make the stencil a negative image. sort of a lot of work and figuring.

My friend is introducing a cool flashlight via kickstarter…

Just because they claim all those things does not make any/all of them true. Plus, the claim/s could mean all sorts of things differing from the "normal" meaning of those words. For example, what exactly does "brought 8 different LED lighting products to life" mean? What are the 8 different...

    Bosch Deals

What is even more ridiculous is that one can choose from about 10 or 12 other Bosch battery-powered tools. For those of you who don't need another vacuum.

    Bosch Deals

I have ordered, received and returned so many vacuums. What's one more? Eventually I might like one enough to keep it.

    Flat (i.e., thin) extension cord

So my wife had a mediocre idea. She wants a very flat electrical extension cord that will not telegraph from under the rug. I would think it might be called “ribbon-style” or something similar. Anyone know if such a thing exists at a reasonable price? And where such places might be?

Minimum thickness of spray foam I should consider?

Please excuse me if I sound a little critical, but you come here asking for advice, and then you tell people what to NOT say. And with a limited history on the forum? Anyway, could you look at sealing all the joints and seams with some kind of super-sticky tape or similar product before doing...

Do Tool Companies Intentionally Hire People that Know Nothing About Tools?

I agree on the counter intuiting. They did develop little dust collector bags that run off the exhaust of the tools. And they also have battery powered dust collectors with hosing (LOL).

Do Tool Companies Intentionally Hire People that Know Nothing About Tools?

Don’t tell Festool. They might abandon the tradesmen that choose cordless sanders connected to dust collector hoses.

Do you provide food/drinks to a work crew?

Mrs. Lumber makes sure that scheduled tradespeoples get offered food and/or drinks and/or snacks. In fact, a few times I was warned to stay away from the goodies because they weren’t for me. We had a new roof installed a few years back. Owner of the company had two crews. One crew was a few...

Tool to Drill Hole in Driveway?

I disagree with much of what has been said. Hammer drill not necessary. Battery or cordless drill will work. For drill bit a diamond hole saw will work. They are available in small diameters. Some of them have threaded mandrel that allows attachment to angle grinder. A Redhead anchor down the...

Tool for gripping T40 “cam’d - out” Button Head 6MM Steel Bolt in Aluminum

I bought an induction heater kit and it solved a couple of frozen/stuck fastener problems that really had me flummoxed. In addition to applying as much heat as I could I used ice water to cool the seized fastener. Who knows what finally did the trick. But I know how desperate a guy can get over...
