Exhaust fan good idea or no

I think others have pretty well covered it. But I will say these things: Are the garage doors insulated? How much insulation in the attic? Have you checked the mini-split for correct functioning? Is the m-s too small for the space. The exhaust fan is not a good idea. But a fan inside a closed...

In use outlet covers that don't let wasps in?

Home inspectors - yuck. They put petty stuff in their report and totally disregard or miss important stuff.

    Jumper cable/Charger clamps

What you call "a small handheld battery charger" might have been a jump box. We just got one. I bought my brother one about 3 years ago. (He and I get stranded in the backcountry over 1/2 of the times that I go to visit.) Brother has now bought one for his wife and all 3 of their sons. Battery...

    Jumper cable/Charger clamps

I have a set of battery cables from Sears. Over 40 years old. Probably Diehard brand. They are very heavy duty. Probably not quite “industrial grade”, but the insulation is is still flexible after four decades in our various vehicles. Made in America meant something special … well, except until...

    Best miter saw stand

Are you Mr. Festool with some Bosch stuff? Or are you Mr. Bosch with some Festool stuff? Supposedly (according to members at Festool Owners Group website), the Festool miter saw stand is worth the money. I don't have an opinion (or a miter saw).

Funny 1 star Amazon tool reviews

Some of those reviews are so stupid that I use the "Report" button and make a relevant comment, or just say it is off-topic. Is that stoopid of me?

Things worth knowing about each power tool brand and their ecosystems

Some tools are absolutely unique in their capabilities. Until patent runs out in some cases. Do you own any Festool or Mafell, for example?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I have been putting rigid insulating foam on inside of my garage door. Already had R38 blown into the garage attic.

    Utilities easement?

But you won't get paid for all the aggravation. And now you are on notice that you have to double-question and triple-check everything. You might want to hire someone to shadow that electrician to make sure he doesn't cut any more corners on this. (That is a bit of a joke, but I am only 1/2...

    Replace bottom rollers

There is a spring-winder tool that one can use with electric drill. I saw them on Amazon; and on Youtube. looks like it would work well and be worth the price.

Adding a rudder to my kayak

Okay. Then maybe a chain drive arrangement connected to pedals? After all, that would be easy compared to the work you have already done. Would a man-powered prop-drive incur those dreaded fees?

Question about the neighbor’s steel roof

So what kind of good neighbor are you? The kind that keeps your thoughts to themself? OR the kind that helps your neighbor see where a problem might be waiting to bite them in the @$$?

Solution for spalled and uneven garage floor

I would suggest that you check out the Rapid Set product line. I think they make a lot of good formulae (right word?) and might have something that works for you. A special caution: they also sell a RETARDER. Don’t cheap out and skip that. Their products give you a very short application window...

Hvac and insulation guys I need some advice

Who ever said I had metal ductwork? In fact, the ducts were made out of that insulated ductboard and mastic. But thanks for trying to help with the situation.

Hvac and insulation guys I need some advice

Go ahead and assume. But I was speaking of actual kilowatts consumption.
