    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

SPECIAL HJE ARTWORK ALERT! I sent a Japanese tomato slicer to a friend, and made an artwork request. This is not at all what I asked for, which is fine with us. But I think it means somebody else didn't get their package art! Or they got my request painted on their package? We shall see...

    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

You can, if need be, grab them at Wal-Mart. But they don't have HJE or the American flag or the 250th stuff on them, so they're just just mundane patriotic pliers. I bought a pair at Wal-Mart thinking I wouldn't be making another HJE order in a while... kinda regret it now. Maybe I'll sell...

Lisle makes something like that, called "hose clamp vise." They have their moments, too. Their knob is too small compared to this one, though. They also have a normal thread. The Acme thread on this one is interesting. The 1/4" drive female hole is good stuff on both.

A locking option is a very nice thing with a treacherous clamp that wants to fly! be free!, and also, frees up more brain and hand for removing or installing the hose. Bet those KTC's are fairly priced, though.

It didn't strike me at first, but the poster's creators have really forced us to think about that guy gettin' it on with the ladies.

    Harry J Epstein Day 2026

WHAT THE HECK IS GOIN' ON? I spent the past month or so worrying that I, personally, was going to ruin HJE Day with my hyper jabbering in this thread. Well, maybe not. But I wonder where the new GJites came from in the thread. It's that newfangled social media! That, or people bought those...

Found them on the website! They're dimly lit and the red, white, and blue bands are hard to spot in the the thumbnail. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Tough-10-in-Angle-Nose-Slip-Joint-Pliers/19303256973?classType=REGULAR&from=/search
