I need to order a passenger side floor pan for a Fastback Mustang. I used to get the majority of my parts from Mustangs Unlimited. Are there any current suppliers that are known to have better quality stuff?
I’m looking for the female side of some smaller than typical bullet connectors. They measure .141. Here’s a photo of what I’m trying to hook up next to a typical .157 terminal. I only need about 5. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can pick them up?
I'd like to buy a set of the metric XL ratcheting wrenches but I've heard that you can't warranty them, unless bought from a tool truck. Has anyone successfully warrantied one of these wrenches? I'm thinking it would be a better value to pay a little more for the Carlyle of Icon versions. If...
Anybody have one? I’m looking for a basic code reader and this seems like it would fit the bill for about $30. I have a car with a check engine light on which is my motivation. I only work on my own cars so this thing will spend most of it life in the toolbox.
Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a full wave rectifier that will convert 12-20v AC to similar voltages in DC? There are a number listed on Amazon and eBay but they appear to 1/2 wave despite what the titles say. I'm going to be powering an LED head and taillight from a stand-alone magneto on a...
Hi all,
I’m looking for a set of 1/4” drive metric hex sockets. I’m considering the 6 piece set from either SK (19732) or Proto (4770-6). Both sets are made in the USA and comparable in price and specs. The Proto is a little cheaper. Does anyone have first hand experience with either set...

I’m tired of fighting to install E clips. I see OTC has a tool that fits four different sizes but I try to buy US made if possible. Does anyone know of a US made option for this type of tool?
Some of the better heat guns come in different temperature ranges. 300-500, 600-750, 800-1100. Which is the most versatile? Uses would be removing large stickers from metal, shrinking shrink tubing, etc. I don't think I need something that goes to 1000 deg.
I need a bottle to go with my new mig welder. CyberWeld has a full 80 cu. ft. bottle for $250 shipped free. The local Airgas (only game in town) wants $320 for the same setup. Am I missing something?
Hi all,
Every year about this time I start thinking about buying a welder. I’m leaning toward the 210 MVP with a spool gun but the 200 Multi is about $100 more. Is one a more capable machine? Obviously the Multi does Mig/stick/DC tig but usually when you try to get multiple functions out of...
Hi All,
I posted this on the fabricators board but didn’t get any suggestions. I thought I might do better here. I'm building a mock springer fork for a bicycle. I'm looking for some coil springs about 1.5" I.D. at least 8" long. They are going over a 1.25" tube with 8" between the triple...

Hi all,
I’m looking for a door knob, can be passage or keyed entry, with about a 2” projection. I need to replace a door knob and the standard locksets hit the storm door door before the entry door is fully shut.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Does anyone have experience with the Precision Instruments M2FR100FX 3/8" torque wrench? I really like my 1/2" split beam and wanted to get a 3/8" micrometer from them. I can only find a few reviews on-line on they're not great. Any first hand experience would be appreciated.
