I think that the previous posters have already covered the subject very well. Regular step ladders are way more convenient for the majority of the time. The weight difference seems huge.

I can imagine, as a Chicago resident, this would hit you where you live. Even if they are not “done”, they would probably rebrand Allen keys from other countries and lower their overhead, infrastructure and logistics to very little.

This is a bummer. I use Eklind Allen keys almost every day. The majority of my Allen/Torx key drawer is Eklind.

Sometimes Tub-o-Towels, and other times wire wheel and then Fluid Film. Often, if they are not rusty, I just don’t clean them. Sometimes, if they look too new and clean, I trade them out with my work tools.

This is going to be more of an issue in the middle of nowhere. Places far from industrial areas. There are a lot of Kennedy boxes in this area, and they often sell for very little.

So, at this point, I probably have over 20 pairs of Channellocks. I prefer the older ones, that are thinner in the body, to the new ones. While I don’t find them physically broken, I often find them bent far out of square. I wonder how they do it.

They are. I have the Matco ones, from the VIM closeout page, and that is exactly what I use them for.

When I find a /32 or /64 socket or wrench, I put it in a drawer with Whitworth, BS, BA, and AF. Unless my socket tray actually has a spot for it, that’s where it goes.

I changed to the Wera Phillips screwdrivers (ph2 and ph1). They are really great and much more ergonomic in the hand. I tried the slotted Wera screwdrivers for a while, but I went back to the Klein ones. I am pretty convinced, at this point, that the metric slotted screwdrivers are not ideal...

I have tried a lot of knives during my career. My favorite knife, at this point, is the Fiskars. It is the most ergonomic knife, that I have found so far.

All of the reasons listed above… but, the fact that there are millions of them… a lot of them barely used, out there… and they often sell for very little… I still, occasionally, find some still in the box.
