    Pressure washer...pump or pump head?

Just get the whole thing, I tried just a head rebuilt kit and it lasted 30 minutes. I bought this one from amazon to resurrect my Troy bilt this spring, it’s been used quite a bit this year and is holding up so far. Sent from my iPhone using The Garage Journal mobile app

    New Jack - Daytona

I have an orange one; the low profile/long reach and I love it, it slides under a 3 series bimmer with a liftpoint adapter and lifts my old f250 with a 2" lift. Its been a couple of years since I bought it and it has held up great.

    Sharing a VFD

I have set up a similar contraption using a manual transfer switch. I wired the drive to the load (common). Then each of the identical motors on the 2 line.

    Milwaukee hand tools opinions

I love their nut drivers, have used the jabsaw and adjustable wrenches happily. I'm not a fan of their electrical pliers (lineman, diagonal cutters, etc) but that's my trade... and I have sent 2 of their ratchets to the land fill covered in blood from my knuckles, there wont be a third.

    Garage Do's and Don'ts

Allow me to speak blasphemy for a moment... Everybody here says build it bigger, that is my regret. I had a 24x24 at my last house, and it was tight but manageable. My new building is 30x40, if I had built it 30x30 I could have had some money to finish it better (I also overbuilt my slab, but I...

Where does a quonset hut roof commonly leak?

From my experience they only leak where there is a bolt or a joint... :bounce:

Insulating a square tube metal building??

Spray foam. Or, since you haven't taken delivery yet, the option I didn't know of... you can add uprights and make them 4 foot on center. Would have made my life much easier at every stage.

Just picked up this old sears compressor for $5.00. Needs new tank though....

I have that same compressor, with a 220v 2hp. Was my great granddads. Still runs and no leaks in the tank, yet. For the record it won't run a DA sander or air file for more than a minute, and if you move fast even an air ratchet out runs it. Mine is in the front garage on tire and basketball...

Notice left at my shop from Xcel Energy

Best of luck on that one. Xcel got into a bit of trouble around here for estimating payments for like 7 months, then reading the meter and sending out $2k bills and turning peoples power off. Guess where we have to call to get it back on? The Amarillo office. I worked for an electrical...

hot import/house brand of the moment testimony thread

I'm still using some popular mechanic's screwdrivers I bought in jr. high, I think they were made by Vermont American, I have an identical set badged VA. I have a set of flex ratchet wrenches from HF that I use for work, they are awesome. Bought a parts store brand gear puller, didn't even pull...

    New drill press project

Probably wont need to bake it, my shop is about 120-140 inside during the day, I have some evapo-rust I have used on car parts, think the electrolysis is better enough to justify the set up?

    New drill press project

Well, I guess you didn't mind then, I searched on here for one that was finished to show my wife (before I picked it up), she loved it and was even excited when she saw the one I got. I'm looking at a way to make it a stable floor model, but I may just go with the benchtop. Decided I'm going...

    New drill press project

I can't stand 'rim stands'. That will go. As far as the fem shui in my shop, I am not a big fan of the current too 'f'ing lazy to fix things vibe... but working 70+hours a week is kicking my ***. It will be done...I'm just hoping its in my lifetime at this point
