I would look at making one from kydex, its pretty simple to work with and almost indestructible. Lots of guys make holsters from it, may find a custom guy on a gun forum.

Thanks for the comments! I work in the oilfield right now, I spend most of my days bouncing around some rough roads, so I'm not sure a glass lined decanter with a 50 year old cork is a good idea. I may have to take some out to the shop next weekend just to try it out.

For years I used "hello! My name is..." labels. They stayed on even in the heat of my garage, and were cheap. I used the different colors (it was a multi color pack) to help, red was house stuff, green was Toyota parts, blue ford parts, etc.

I work construction and my old employer had several, some had old filesin it. Here in southeastern New Mexico, I only remember condensation once in the last 12 years. But it was in THAT con-ex. If I were string paper goods I would keep them in file cabinets or tarp them.
