Another Lift Question - New Bendpak 10AP

Check out the rotary sp010 with the 3 stage conventional arms too. I have this lift and I believe the reach range is even more than the 2 you posted. I have put pickups on it, 911's, my lawnmower, sidebyside. Never had a reach issue.

    DIY install of non-Mrcool units

I also just finished installing a 3 head lg unit diy. I would recommend skipping brazing lines and just flare them. I bought a $25 orbital flare tool on amazon that was recommended on here and my flares looked better than the factory flares on the lines. I had an argon tank so I used that to...

Approximate Cost to DIY insulate and drywall a detached 2 car garage (in MN Zone 6)

You clearly forgot joint tape in your estimate.

In your experience how detailed do detached garage plans need to be for permitting?

In my case I need a variance so I told them I want to build a building 'here'. Got the variance and they immediately approved my building permit with nothing. Not even a sketch. They screwed up and their screw up saved me having to pay an extra $1200 or so for stamped plans. Nobody ever even...

    Convert asymmetric lift to symetric

I have a 10k symetric rotary and if I remember correctly the towers looked like they were made to mount asymentric or symetric but the arms and brackets for things like pulleys will be different. I'm betting if rotary did sell you all the parts needed you could sell your lift and buy a symetric...

How do I figure out the sag on this?

Don't they stack those things on ships something like 20 high with thousands of pounds in each container? I would mount the array directly to the container and not think twice about.

Wifi inside and outside metal pole barn?

It's hard to say without seeing your space but keep in mind not only does the signal from the AP have to get to the device but the device has to get back to the AP. You will generally have better luck with more access points with the power turned down than fewer higher power AP's and something...

    Temporary Bracing for Trusses???

When they did my barn they set the 25 trusses in place upright with the boom truck. 2 guys had them done in 2 hours from when the truck pulled in the driveway to when it pulled out.

Decent MIG gas welder that doesn't break the bank?

I have the lincoln 140. If you are doing just sheet metal it is fine. If you need to weld thicker and more than just a few inches you will get frustrated. If you crank up the 140 once it warms up it will only weld a few inches and then shut off to cool, rinse and repeat due to a low duty...

    Line set length question

I'm no where near the max total for the linesets but the manual says If I am under 74.8 feet total I do not have to add refrigerant. I will be very close to that if I add all three up. All three runs will be fairly close to each other in length.

    Line set length question

Question for you hvac pros. The minisplit I am installing allows for 74.8 feet of lineset without adding refrigerant. When calculating my lineset length is it from flare to flare or do I include the 18 inches or so at each one of the 3 air handlers?

    Air to water heat pump?

The issue I see is the rated heating capacity is at 68f. At 10f its almost half the rated Capacity. The spacepak extreme has much better performance but is also much more expensive.

running 200amps of service need some advice

When I did my barn a couple years ago I replaced my 200a meter base with a 400a meter base with dual lugs and no disconnect. 200 amps goes to the house and 200 amps to the barn. Did it this way for the same reason you did-didn't want to mess with the panel in the house and run a separate...

Wifi inside and outside metal pole barn?

Are there any windows? If there are windows and the generator is next to the building it will probably be fine. Setup your access point with a separate network name for the 2.4 and 5ghz radios on your access point and connect the generator to the 2.4 network. It will work a little better...

    shielded or unshielded network cable

Also in IT and have ran may thousands of feet of cable. Don't bother with shielded cable. Do bother with a good quality, solid copper cable (no copper clad aluminum). I would stick with cat6 over 6a, especially for what are likely to be short runs unless your building is massive. Remember...
