Very Nice! First time I have noticed this thread. I love the bathroom tile scheme. I did something similar in my former house. All black and white, mixed subway and 9 x 6 tile for the shower, and smaller for the floor.

I have 10' 6". I installed a Rotary baseplate model found on craigslist. Haven't put a car all the way up yet, but will try it soon. I had considered an Atlas base plate type until i found this deal.

I would say "you ****", but that would mean I do as well. I scored 3 or 4 of this type of cabinet when I had a part time job at Autozone and they were getting new versions. I have sorted so many of my small parts into them (don't use them for nut and bolt hardware) and it has been great...

My first exposure to this thread today. Great stuff going on there. I really like the rolling dolly for the welder. I just finished my lift installation in January, and worked on it last weekend (February was too cold). Very nice work on the gates as well.

When I upgraded my first house (25+ years ago...), the power company provided the new meter socket. I had to provide the conduit, wiring and weatherhead. They put in new wires from pole to weatherhead. Saved me a bunch of money.

That 244 makes me miss my old blue 144S. Still think about getting an old Volvo back periodically.

Some deflection is normal as noted. My old Rotary installation instructions specified installing it slightly out of plumb to the outside of the lift to account for that. It was a small amount though, like 3/8" or something. Maybe not even that much, can't recall exactly.

Welcome. Nice house, garage and sky. I am just north of you in Howell. I get what you are saying about the aesthetic of the garage and victorian house. I left behind a 120 year old house in Illinois where they had added a 4 car to the back, behind the house where you couldn't really see it...
