    Extending WiFi to detached gargage

Garage is detached. Located behind the house, slightly offset. I can pick up the neighbors wireless signal, but not mine in there.

    Extending WiFi to detached gargage

I am doing a similar thing, just need to extend my wireless to my garage about 75'-100' from the router. Do I need just one of these nanos, or one on each end? I understand the concept of bridge versus access point, but which will really work effectively? Is it hard-wired to the router with...

    New guy- new to Michigan

Yeah, pretty much right between Lansing and Detroit. I work in a Detroit suburb, so have a 30 mile commute. Also right between Lansing and Ann Arbor, which leads to color confusion in the college football realm. Go Blue, Go Green, Go White? Actually grew up in WI, so I skew red and white...

    New guy- new to Michigan

I have tried during the summer and fall to stay off the Garage Journal and actually work on my garage. I will get some pictures up (likely in a new thread for the shop) of progress and setbacks (such as buying a Craftsman block grinder, drill press and band saw) :eyecrazy: I am very close to...

Home Depot cut & threaded iron pipe, but thread does not have taper

I know this is an old thread, and even older quoted post, but wanted to comment that it is not correct. The pitch is not the same between NPT and BSPT.

Victorian (1880s) Townhouse - from Carriage house to Track Day Heaven

Interesting project. Looking forward to the end results. A "Victorian" house in SA looks a little different than a typical one here in the US.

    Crimper frustration

I have the crimper with interchangeable jaw insert (MCT tool shown on Pressmaster page) that I bought through Waytek. I rarely do any of the insulated terminals and I don't recall if I bought a jaw set for that purpose. Only complaint I have is the ratchet mechanism broke on it, so I have to...

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

I have a grey/red cabinet I bought used from the Snap-On guy in about 1985. Unfortunately, I painted it red/black to match the top chest my mom had just gotten me for Christmas.

For the engineers in the crowd

Also, what is the nominal torque value? I have worked in automotive for 27 years, and the usual allowable torque range on a fastener nominal value when audited was nominal +/- 10 %. I don't think your variation will be outside of that range with the factors you are considering.

Steel frame pole building with shingles and vinyl siding

I have not looked at it too closely, but my neighbor has a pole frame barn that is covered with vinyl and shingled, and it looks just like my stick frame from the exterior. Any particular questions I could ask him?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Finished construction of the shelf (wife has the pictures) and started moving the initial containers of parts. Sorting all this hastily packed stuff is going to take a while. Also received my switch box for the compressor in the mail. Bought the breaker. Now just need to run the cable up the...
