    Pick my vise

Here are some pictures of a Wilton C1 that I restored years ago. There are also pictures of the C1 on my workbench next to my main working vises which are a C3 and a C2. There is also a Ridgid on an adjustable mount that I use sometimes. I also have a Wilton 1765 that used to be my main...

I have both of those pliers as well as a long nose one. They are excellent. I have never been disappointed with a 3 Peaks plier. I think I have about 15 of them.

    stahlwille rollmaster

Some pictures of the Rollmaster after I cleaned it up and repainted it. I also modified the middle drawer to swing open like the top and bottom drawers. This was done back in 2009, but I just came across this thread again and realized I never posted the pictures after the restoration.

The blue handled picks are the standard ones from PB Swiss. The handles are hard plastic. The red handled picks are custom made for DRPD and feature the SwissGrip soft handles. I personally prefer the red ones.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

For a small handle for a 2" or 2 1/2" Wilton I use 12L14 since it is so easy to machine. You shouldn't be exerting a lot of torque on these small vises. For a larger vise handle I would probably use something like 1144.

I have a problem with laying down stuff and forgetting where I last put it. I have lots of spares of everything so I can keep on working even if I misplace a tool. I also hate it when I lose a tool and go to replace it only to find out it is no longer available from the manufacturer. This has...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I picked up a baby bullet last week. It is in the best original condition of any baby bullet I have ever seen personally. Other than a significant amount of rust it was in like new condition. The original handle was bent and extremely pitted so I made a replacement handle. Other than that it...

Suggestions for a small bench top lathe?

I personally don't have room for a big machine so I bought a small lathe that could do most of what I want it to. The lathe is on a roll around table so I can move it out of the way when it is not in use. Here's a picture of my small lathe and a few of the things I have made with it.
