I think the biggest problem you will have is adjusting your door. You might not be able to get the gap out, at the top, without raising your door tracks.

On mine the top of the machine snaps up in the front and hinges back so that you can check the springs. The springs are at the base of the tub.

There are springs that hold the tub upright and allow it to flex. One or more of your springs have broken or come loose.

My mother's washer did this when we replaced it with a new model. The old washer had no issues but the new one drained much faster. This product fixed the problem... Drano was no help.
