Nothing done upstairs yet. I will have a room 13'-6" wide x 24' Long with 5'-11" knee walls. Planning a Man Cave. Will enter from inside garage - no stairs installed yet.

Time for sheathing

Rear 20 feet are scissor trusses. 2" OC. Then attic trusses with a 13-6 wide room for 24 feet. In-between the two types of roof I skipped a truss. Last scissor truss and last attic truss at transition are 2-ply trusses.

next comes the Roof!

*********A month LAter*********************** Stem walls and slab complete. Framing materials and trusses arrive. :))

2x8 forms for stem walls. letters for kids initials can be seen in front wall's center section form. The Kids weren't around to write initials in floor so did this instead.

I planned on 8" high concrete stem walls. this pic shows indents made in thickened edge slab to tie in and anchor walls walls

I was having trouble posting pics before now so here it is so far.

Just looking at insulating my attic trusses. I have a 13.5' x 24' room. What are peoples thoughts on insulating the knee walls (so only room is insulated) vs. Insulating the full attic spaces including the storage spaces on the side of the room?

So, insulate the section in-between them the same as a wall? insulation tight against the roof sheating?
