Thank you for posting this. I am looking at building an shop (40x50) and have inquired with several folks when researching someone to pour a slab what needs to be done to stabilize the foundation in this TX soil. I have already had to do this, although minor, to a portion off my house. I may...
Looking to put up my metal building soon. Most likely 30x40.
Looking for recommended concrete contractor in the Austin area.
Any idea what it is running per sq foot?
Attached is one scenario. The cost of concrete is more the limiting factor in size.
Thank you in advance.
John
I've been watching your build. Nice progress and it will very nice when done. If I can ask, what are the costs you are projecting per square foot for a stick structure? You can pm me if you like. I am working towards putting up a building and I may need to do it in steps like you are. I can't...
I have been looking at different metal buildings and they are all so different yet the same. I am sure this is to hit a price point. I am all for finding efficiencies, but on where it is not critical.
What gauge is your building? Any issues?
Note: I live in central TX where mother nature...
Congrats. I have a couple of those and I love them. I wish I had space for more. It think my cabinet was around 350# empty of course. Possibly more. I had to use a jacks to get it off it's back on the trailer.
It sounds like Morton does a good job . I am considering them for a 40x50 build. How thick did you go with the concrete inside? Are there plans for a lift? I love the big turnaround area.
What was the name of the company that did the build? I just bought a nice ranch house on two acres and I'm looking into buiding a garage hopefully sooner than later. I don't have an HOA so no worries on the # of doors facing the front.
Also what coating (brand) did you use for the floor...
Ryan,
Curious to see on what you decided. I'm in the Austin area also, Cedar Park/Leander area. I found this thread as we are looking at a "new to us" place and was searching for freestanding garage ideas. We would be on two acres with a mid 80's ranch (white stone). One thing that I didn't see...
Love the garage and great pics. I am curious, why did orient the door to the side of the property versus the front such as allowing a "straight in" approach?
Red and in good condition. Includes two center bridges, wheel chocks, and traction strips installed.
$1100
