Long impact extension? 24-inch or 36-inch?

I read that on their site about the lack of warranty, but then S*K says the same thing, but they worded it in a very confusing way, "Warranty: -Lifetime warranty. This socket adapter has a 1" diameter and is 35" in length... -No warranty."

Long impact extension? 24-inch or 36-inch?

Cool, the S*K I'm looking at does that 1/2-inch down to 3/8-inch thing: SK Tools Model SKT-46175 Long Impact Extension/Adapter 1/2" F-3/8"M 36-inch SK Tools Model SKT-46174 Impact Adapter/Extension 1/2-Inch F-3/8-InchM 23-Inch I couldn't find the GP one. So far we have one vote for 24" and...

Long impact extension? 24-inch or 36-inch?

I'm trying to decide if 24-inches will reach the transmission bell-housing bolts (in most cars/trucks) or if I should get the 36-inch. Or is it 24-inch for cars and 36-inch for trucks?

    Armstrong 3/8 pinless impact universal #19-947 $18.88

Re: Armstrong 3/8 universal #19-947 $18.88 Had to grab one too. There's still one left, apparently. I didn't even own any 3/8 universal at all, and just got the 1/2-inch version, so I might as well get its 3/8-inch brother at this price. Their pinless design is the best, and these are my...

    Show off your Screwdrivers!!!!

Lot's of nice screwdrivers here. I just got this Sunex 8011BK thing to hang on the side of my box and it organized and free'd up some drawer space. The three on each side of the rear flank are pry bars, the park tool is for spoke *******, and the c-man in the middle front needs something...

    cordless vs. air impact wrench

This. I did not have any sockets in 1/2-inch drive at all, and no impact sockets either. I was able to get two birds stoned at once by just buying all 1/2-inch Impact Sockets, and a compact cordless impact with the 1/2-inch square-anvil, and an (impact rated) adapter to go down to 1/4-inch hex...

Who makes that oil-filter-socket set? They look gold, are they gold?! They look nice and blingy. I need some, but I want a good set, and I wouldn't mind if they were golden goose sockets.

Got some Wera hex bit to square drive bad-boys today in 1/4" and 1/2". The 1/2" replaced this huge stack of generic chrome vanadium adapters for the impact. :rocker: (I didn't like the dual-anvil on the other Bosch, with the 1/4" hex inside the larger snout of it's 1/2" anvil and huge...

Question on use of Adjustable Wrench

Because information never expires? Because use the search function? Why read old books? The reply button still works because the thread is open for more input. I enjoyed reading this thread. It is a good thread. :3gears:

This is what I use, and I like it so much I got rid of (lost) my desktop, plug-in model and I'm fine with it. It's held up perfectly for 11 years, and still works like the day I bought it. It solders better, and so conveniently - and it does heat shrink so much nicer than a lighter, without...

Show off your wrench collection !

I was just thinking how sweet Blöckw@rt's set of non-matching German wrenches looked in the picture posted above. That's so much cooler than a matching set, and now I need to do that. It's like you're "building" a set of wrenches, and that sounds like more fun than letting companies decide...

Oops, sorry about that. I fixed it for you. I fashioned this roll-pouch from a big chunk of cow-hide many years ago. It stays conditioned with motor-oil, which actually works really well. The form-fit around the box-ends keep them secure and don't fall out the top even when jostled...

Re: UPS just dropped off my new BOSCH IWBH182! The smaller diameter grip is going to take some getting used to. It's like going from fat cruiser handlebars to a dirt bike. It really is tiny, about the same height as the old-*** DW052, but its head is way shorter. It's going to be great for...

UPS just dropped off my new BOSCH IWBH182! I finally upgraded my cordless (compact) impact gun! I ordered it sight-unseen and my first thought was how small it is (that's good! I like that!) compared to my old DeWalt DW052 12v impact driver. It's also lighter! (and hopefully way more...

Anybody else hate that all Snap On tools are going to soft handles?

Amen. I never understood who the soft grips were for. Were people really complaining about their hands hurting from using hard handles? Now, I can understand hands hurting with poorly designed hard handles, but the good ergonomic ones are very comfortable to me.
