I've got a crankshaft bolt that requires 325ft/lbs of torque to achieve the BMW spec on my V12 engine. This is a one time use bolt, so I need to get it right the first time. Problem is I don't have one that goes up to 325ft/lbs. Mine only goes to 120ft/lbs. I can rent one that does 250ft/lbs...

Installed intake manifolds on my BMW V12....

I was cruising Craigslist and found someone selling Duncan parking meters. Anybody got one in their garage? Any trick to restoring these things? Got to be cheaper than a vintage gas pump!

Fixed! I used a small triangular file to clean up the leading thread and thankfully I was able to get the gland nut started. After starting it, I was only able to get a couple of turns on the nut and then it would get stuck, so I continued to inspect the threads with a magnifying glass...

Thanks guys… I've already used a wire wheel on it, so I've cleaned it up as best as I can.. The old nut still threads on, BUT in order to get it off I had to cut it off, so it is not a good candidate to use to recut the threads.. Thread file… - I'll look into this...

Mine (24x24) cost right at $20K two years ago. 9 foot ceilings, hardiboard on the exterior, 6/12 pitch with attic storage in the trusses. I did the painting and the electrical/drywall work. I got several quotes and picked the one in the middle. So, I figure the price you got is within the ballpark.
