Guy at work needed cash... Picked up this Rock Island GI Standard CS, 45 APC, 1911 for $375. Included 100 rounds of 230 ball ammo too! For a 3.5" barrel, fixed sights, it shot surprisingly well. CT

Thought about it. Scraped/sanded out the paint from seat. Front brakes done! Attached lines where plastic clip gave out.. Greased all joints. Red n Tacky grease. CT

It has been a journey. Finishing front brakes and the proportioning valve lines. Next dropping in the engine/trans/exhaust. Then take it to the body. Good luck. Start a thread when you start her frame off resto. CT

Plot Thickens... Damn Ford and their "whatever is in the bin, Engineering approaches..." GM at least standardized most of their parts over the years. A TH400 from 1968 will bolt to a 2018 LSX with a Crank spacer. Ford had 3 different bellhousings in the same year! Rant over... Tore into...

Last week changed oil in 2013 GMC DenaliHD Z71. Changed from Mobil, M1. Used M1 for 2 decades. CT

New issue.. Did not realize these parts were what was in caliper bracket until got reman Calipers... ****... More work! First Ford. First Dayton brakes... Metal sleeve and seal. Also shaft seal have to be installed. Last guy used a cold chisel and left some nasty marks. Will update when...

Turned out pretty well, for an amateur with a rattle can! Funny story... Getting propane today, I bumped into fella that turned them. Showed him pics. Said, "Should have painted them before turning"... Well ****, great idea! CT

Could not resist! Must add at least 5hp! Instructions say handle in 3 hrs, cured in 7 days... Used 1 can on the pair. 4-5 coats. Has a nice smell, but strong. Had to walk outside. Hope to mount tomorrow... Hope. Need to get front wheels on! CT

Sold the 1976 F100, 360, 3 on Tree today. Have little more room and one less thing to move around! Sold to son of my paint and body guy. CT
