Some newer fans recommend not switching power on and off from a switch, they're intended to be only controlled via the remote control. Quite a nuisance if you ever have problems with the fan, but its how all my ceiling fans are in my house currently.

For a home user, I don't see any reason to buy Ingersoll-Rand (or Snap-on for that matter) cordless tools when you get get a dozen other brands for a lot cheaper, with more tool and battery options. Milwaukee has 90% of the performance at 50% of the cost.
