I've had good luck with Dewalt and Milwaukee brand bits. $20-$40 for a set depending on which ones you get. If you don't abuse them, a set of bits will last you awhile. Most guys I see that go through a lot of bits spin them too fast and burn them up.

I have the older brushed XWT04Z, and its a beast, the newer one is only better. I think its absolutely worth the price, it has around the same power as high quality air impacts. They're kinda big and bulky, but still more convenient to use than an air impact in my opinion.

One nifty solution that I've seen online is using toilet paper tubes. Alternatively you could use appropriately sized PVC pipe (~2"?) cut in small sections for a more durable solution. I've been meaning to organize my collection of cables using this method, but haven't gotten around to it.

Brushless motors are better, but not 40% better, especially if you don't use them professionally. For the Porter Cable kits you linked to, I'd definitely get the cheaper brushed one.
