Yes indeed. However what I failed to articulate is that where I am I don't think I would find a 600v rated cable in a size less than #14.

Strictly conjecture: if you're looking for 600v rating you will have to go to a #14. Here in Canada I would order 2c #14 TECK90.

That's not something you hear very often.

You can drill holes next to the panel. Pass your wire through the plywood and plastic and run wherever you want from there. This is the quickest and your inspector will be OK with it. The rules for exposed NMD are less stringent when running into the panel like this. Coming from Alberta.

I went into the van and gave the metal piece that holds the pin a couple of love taps with a screw driver. That does the trick. I'm still wondering if it goes to an intermediate point that's not open and not quite closed and it needs that tap to make it close all the way.

I managed to get it open this afternoon. I don't know what I did. It seemed to work well until I locked it and closed it....now it won't unlock again.

Let it cool and try it again. When those are at the end of their life cycle they will gain full brightness and the go out. A new bulb isn't that much money.

Thanks for taking the time to find the picture. I'm quite sure that whatever unlocks the door inside that latch mechanism has given up. I have the inside panels off and all of the rods and things are attached and free to move. It just won't operate the latch.

This is my concern. It closed half way and now it's done.
