What did you do "TO" your garage today?

I've been working on my floor over the last few months, yes, I said "months", and am happy to finally be able to see progress. Cheap Home Depot porcelain, 6X24 and 12X24.... Jason Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

    Mr Cool DIY mini split

Agreed, these "Mr. Cool" units seem almost too good to be true. Would love some feedback. I'm sure they are generic China units, but considering my local company wants $4K for a Chinese rebrand with a "Trane" sticker on it, these are very interesting. Jason

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Lone Beech Garage (60x46x16)

Re: The Lone Beech Garage Build Thread (60x46) Looking better every day ! Question from someone who also lives in red clay country, what is the plan for roof runoff ? With the angle of the fascia boards, I am assuming no gutters ? With the height I would be concerned about the runoff...

    Thinking of ceramic tile?

I'm no expert either, but I would remove the paint too. On a completely different topic... How do you like the Maxima ? Jason

Urban Archeology: Garages and Workspaces in Virginia and the Carolinas

I thought those might get your attention, but didn't know if you ever made it in to the woods around Watkinsville. I believe your friend and I are practically neighbors. He lives in the development across Barnett Shoals from the barn, right ? I am just down McRees Mill past it. What about...

Urban Archeology: Garages and Workspaces in Virginia and the Carolinas

Mind if I share a couple from Georgia ? I grew up in NC if that helps... Both of these are within a few miles of my house. I have been here for three years now, but don't know the history of either, guess it is time to ask. I imagine this one used to be functional at or near this spot. It...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Lone Beech Garage (60x46x16)

Re: The Lone Beech Garage Build Thread (60x46) Yet another project that makes my garage, and issues, seem tiny and insignificant ! Looks great ! I just caught up, I am outside Athens, so it has been cool to remember the weather as I read. Jason

My local PetSmart does, and they seem to have stocked up for this sale. Still they are much higher, I think $199. Jason

Garage Door Install Damage, Check Me Here...

This is actually only one rafter, guess it is a valley rafter in this case. Can't tell you why it was handled this way, after the 4th or 5th hole I would have tried something different. Well, I would have done something different altogether, but... Jason

Garage Door Install Damage, Check Me Here...

The problem was actually the tracks, they were originally installed out of level, and not aligned with each other. There was around 5 inches difference between the two tracks if I remember correctly. The majority of the damage was done during the initial install. To clarify, when I say...

Garage Door Install Damage, Check Me Here...

I can, and will, fix it... Just the principle of the matter and how this guy handles issues. I do have high expectations, I don't know about luxury car dealer service, I drive a 98 Toyota and an 04 Nissan, sooo... But I do expect a good job when I am writing a check for it, full quoted price...

Very disappointed in New Age cabinet delivery

Similar story here, smaller order, and it looks like less damage for me, but still didn't make me happy. ShopStorageCabinetes.com took care of me too. All good in the end, thanks again !

Garage Door Install Damage, Check Me Here...

So, I had a local garage door company install my door and opener. I picked this company as they did the house, and tried to help out with the issues with the first version of this garage. Seems they didn't even install the door we had problems with, and were helping out as a favor to the...

The Stables- every pony needs one

Response to the first pic after seeing the house across the street... "Your neighbors are not going to let you put up a steel building..." After seeing the second pic, "Er, OK..." And Fox body Mustangs becoming "classic" are one of the ways I can tell I'm getting old... Looks good ! Jason

Spdstr280Z's Z Garage and Hobby Shop

Got a row of cabinets hung, and the garage door install is now almost acceptable, up from about the most half assed attempt I have ever seen. Just need to see what they plan to do to finish the ceiling repair now... Jason Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

This has been far too much of a struggle, and I'm not quite there yet, but thought I would add a couple of current state pics... From the edge of the yard showing where it sits in relation to the house... And an inside shot showing the garage door install and the color scheme so far... No...
