    Weld sputtering and smoking?

Well I welded some more with different settings and I'm having inconsistent wire feed. This was some 1/4" to 1/2" (High 2, 60%, gas at 20) What is the rootbeer chocolate milk?? This was some 14ga (Low 5, 35-40% wire, gas at 20): Running longer: I think I'm going to take my drive rolls...

Pretty neat. I thought at first it was just a video with sound playing over it, but you can see the shaft spinning.

    Weld sputtering and smoking?

I pulled about 1lb of wire off and started seeing some shiny wire and turned the gas down. Not sputtering at all now. Yea it's hot, but I haven't used this MM200 much on the high settings and was wondering if it was something to do with the "high side". Love this new gun!

    Weld sputtering and smoking?

No its not flux core wire and polarity is correct. This was welding fine before.

    Weld sputtering and smoking?

So I just put together me a new Bernard Q-300 with Centerfire consumables, but I'm having some issues with my welding. Miller MM200 60% Speed High 2 40-50 on the gas flow, 75/25 argon co2 mix. .030 wire which is kinda old and dirty, oxidized. I have yet to pull about 5lbs off of it. It...

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

I've learned I should have done the survey when I bought the place, but now I know! They are great neighbors!!!

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

Survey happened today. Pins were located and they put some wooden stakes about half-way down the property line. My rudimentary tape measure job was pretty close to my assumption. Barn was staked pretty much all on my property. The line is confusing though, so I'm glad he got the survey. (I...

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

I think both of the Mr. Heaters can use typical B-Vent. I don't remember what size I had, I believe it was 3". I am plumbed into an old triple wall chimney that was already there. I ran water for irrigation (blowing it out in the winter), conduit for ethernet, gasline, and tracer wire and...

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

This has been a learning experience for sure and the horror stories I've read and heard about have been pretty interesting. A guy I work with had his neighbor force him to move a sprinkler head onto his own property (without messing up his neighbors lawn!). Last I chatted with him he had found...

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

I actually paid a plumber to hookup to the furnace with pipe. So the drip leg is now down at the lowest point under the furnace. Don't have any new pics. Pressure test was good with the furnace valve closed.

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

Been in it 3 years now. Neighbor about a year and a half. I did not have it surveyed when I bought it, most people around here don't. Got one quote back so far for $1900... lots of people keep saying it should only be $500... :dunno:

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

Well I haven't talked to him today, but I have a plan. He did text me today a picture of the mortgage map he got. It's just too hard to tell where the line is anyways with it. If the survey is done, his property is 600' deep - about half as deep as mine so you can't even see the corner post or...

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

I agree with all of this. The fact is that I am just guessing where the property line is using a tape measure. I think my GPS will do the same amount of guessing. So yea, a survey would be the best thing. I was thinking about having it done with an appraisal to see how much this place is worth...

Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

My neighbor has staked out where he wants to build a 24'x40'x pole barn. I have a feeling it's on my property. It's also somewhat scrub brush and some large old oaks mixed in so I don't really plan on doing anything over there anyways. My lot is a large rectangle (5 acres) the back being wooded...
