My Welding Table Build Log (4'x4'x.5")

Ok, I'm thinking about having this quoted locally for laser cutting actually: The holes are 4" and 2" spacing horizontal and vertical. They are .625 in diameter. I might refine it to match where the supports will go under neath and maybe attach it with sunken socket cap screws... Think I...

My Welding Table Build Log (4'x4'x.5")

I do have some friends that live in Holland. I don't know if I want to put all the holes in it or not yet. I love the strong hand tables, but I also dont want to spend hours drilling holes. :) We shall see what happens.

Yes sir .5". So it might be overkill to grind it. I am in Detroit and Ann Arbor area.

Yea now that you mention it they must've been. I still think I will try to bolt down some casters or maybe we can find some that can fit or be welded.

My Welding Table Build Log (4'x4'x.5")

I am thinking of building a frame underneath out of 2" square 3/16" wall and then mounting the legs in a sleeve, and maybe a couple "receiver hitch" concepts to put a vice or other hold downs. Anyone want to drill a ton of holes in it for me and then surface grind it? :)

My Welding Table Build Log (4'x4'x.5")

So, a couple of years ago I picked up these legs from an auction for cheap, with the intent to make a welding table. So after welding about 10-15 projects on wood tables, and MDF, and a small 3/16" steel plate, and being irritated, I went and got me a nice plate today (for a decent price)...

How to exit bare ground out of subpanel

The guys that put the sub panel in my garage ran it with the feeders to the outside LB, then drilled a small hole in the bottom of the LB and fed it to the ground rods from there. It's neat and since the garage is masonry block, it is insulated. Not sure it's 100% legit, but whatever!

Gram's garage, one base, to hanging shop lights

Ok, my grandmother has one porcelain base in the center of her garage and the previous owners added one of those two prong adapters and have some really cobbled extension cords (I'm talking two MTW or THHN wires stapled to the ceiling) running to two different fluorescent fixtures. They barely...

    Solder/braze copper to steel?

Ok, I have some silicone bronze but with my propane torch it was taking way too long and I couldn't pinpoint the heat to the steel so I'll try that. Any tips for cleaning the copper once it's tarnished from the heat?

    Solder/braze copper to steel?

Ok, that was my kinda last resort, so the copper is holding a tea light candle and it can get warm I suppose... so I figured JB Weld... Sounds so wimpy talking about this. :lol_hitti

    Solder/braze copper to steel?

Ok guys. I had a brainfart the other day. I got some horse shoes and welded 'em together for a candle thing for a lady friend for Christmas. (My other girlfriend as the wife calls her.) Anyways, I have a copper piece, a pipe cap that I need to affix to the horse shoe. I have a propane torch...

NG Heater...Can't make up my mind - HELP!

Whatever guy, I'm not a fanboy of Made in China if I have a choice. It was a control board failure. They sent me a new one. The fan also vibrates. I think I got a lemon. This is my own review, so I'm just providing my opinion. The thing produces heat so I am happy, but spending $500 and then...
