Garage expansion - found buried service entrance cable!

Hmm... I would have this same problem if I added onto my house with an attached garage and was wondering the same thing.

    Ok..don't..laugh about my generator question

If it's one of those small batteries like for a motorcycle or ATV, don't charge it at more than 2 amps or your will surely kill it if it's not already dead.

NG Heater...Can't make up my mind - HELP!

I just bought a Mr. Heater Big Maxx 80k BTU and got it installed yesterday. It worked for a few hours yesterday. I shut it off at night, went out to the garage tonight and it would not turn on. They are also made in China and have some bad reviews if you look for them. We'll see how well their...

    dewalt 18 charger

I swore I saw a post like this just a few days ago and commented by saying the new radios charge all the batteries. Just a thought. Deja vu.

    double post: delete

I doubt it. There is a Dewalt radio out there that charges the 18v batteries (both Ni-Cad and Li-Ion) and the 20v batteries... Just a thought.

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

Got it up and mounted. Pressure testing it but at 25psi it has leaked down from between the valve and the heater. I'm not sure what is leaking or if it is the heater valve (Honeywell) not capable of holding 25psi. If it stays at 5psi for a couple of days is that good?

3" vent outlet on Big Maxx 50k BTU unit

Me too. I just bought the 80k with the 3" DuraVent kit from Northern Tool. The kit doesn't work out of the box and I need to reduce the 4" exhaust port to the 3" Dura Vent or go and buy all 4"!!! Ergh!!!

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

Thanks CNGSaves. I think I will do what you're suggesting and as well use the thin wall for a water line. I'm burying some 3/4" conduit with it already and some tracer wire as well as caution tape. The spliced line is for my sprinkler system. It feeds from the faucet as I don't have that...

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

I think I might just be buying the IPS 3/4"... :( Oh well. I have to call the PoCo or Miss Dig to locate my power service. Last time I called, they came out and marked all of the stuff in the front yard to the road, gas, water, etc. but they didn't mark the underground power which comes from...

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

I got my Mr. Heater Big Maxx. woo... After reading a lot about CSST I don't want to even bother with it. So I'm back to burying 3/4" PE with two risers. One at the house, one outside at the garage. The house is protected but the garage could be subject to a weed whip, so I'm thinking about...

New gas line install - yellow IPS fittings?

Plumber just stopped over and said it would be fairly easy job for him if I dug the trench. He suggested using CSST sleeved in PVC. Was not familiar with the 3/4" CTS PE I have. I have read a few things on guys not caring for CSST, but this will be outside of the house anyways. I'm not sure...

Alright, good to hear. I couldn't find anything googling, but have a plumber coming over Thursday am and hoping he can make them up for me and tie them in and I'll do the rest.
