Any guesses on $$ to add 24' to an existing Morton shed?

Depends. I have actually had a similar job done. Is it heavy I-beam framed all the way to the end, or lighter weight c-channel end. Lighter end means you have to support the roof with posts somewhere. Heavier framing means self supporting, jerk out the end wall and go.

Rotary phase converter to 3 phase equipment

That's what I use. Unless you have some huge motors, 20 amp plugs are more than adequate. 3 phases spreads out the current draw. I also put in a small 3 phase breaker panel to distribute the power.

Who's using a mini split in youz shop?

    |Yes, just the straps. My contractor did it at build time, but after everything else was done. This is my third shop and the first one with the added roof insulation. It really helps in Texas.

Who's using a mini split in youz shop?

Do yourself a favor, first double the roof insulation. It makes a huge difference in this area. I had an extra 8 inches strapped inside my roof. Then add AC. I used MrCool, did it myself, and I'm very happy with it. Mine is 30x40x12 and 36k was overkill.

Who's using a mini split in youz shop?

I have a 36k MrCool. 30x40x12 shop. I would absolutely do it again. The first couple of days it ran it pulled gallons of moisture out of the shop. The inverter units should all dehumidify well since they can run lower speeds as needed.

200 will do everything you need. Have him move the 100 amp panel to the barn or shop as a sub. You already have all the breakers you need I bet.

Except on the roof. If you look close you can see the strapping where we added another 8 inches.

    Building me a shop-advice/questions

Have the frame wrapped with standard metal building roll fiberglass insulation before putting the metal on, then go inside and strap additional insulation on the ceiling. We get most of our heat through the roof.

Seems like a nightmare to pack up an entire garage. When is the last time you moved (your entire tools & garage) ?

I moved my entire shop about 8 years ago. I used a 16' utility trailer and an engine hoist. Heaviest piece was about 2000 pounds, total weight was about 40,000-50,000 pounds. The move was a little over 100 miles, so I could make multiple round trips. For toolboxes and drawer benches, I just...
