It depends on what you expect of the building. My 30x40x12 red iron building is engineered with a 20x30 clear span loft over the back half, and a 1 ton I-beam houst on a trolley. Red iron can give you more options.

Not true in Texas. When I sold mine, there were plenty of comps and no problem for the buyer to get a loan. That was 8 years ago and they only get more popular.

My advice, buy a small lathe with a 4 jaw chuck and a tool post and start turning. After a while, you'll know what you really need. Sell it and buy a better one if you need to. A South Bend 9 or 10 inch is a good starter lathe and may be all you ever need.

The temp setting is where it cuts off the burner. If you set it at 120, it still heats full burner until it reaches 120. You only mentioned the cutoff as a problem. Turn the bathroom sink on hot while you shower and see it the problem goes away.
