I do the same with the addition of screwing the box to a half foot square piece of plywood to use as a foothold when I pull a plug.

I picked up several Gorilla puck locks for $18 each in the surplus. As good a price as I could find on Amazon and much easier return policy imo. Look on the side of the lock for a matching 5 digit number for matching keys.

That is true. But iirc it rubs off with my fingers. Probably use a green pad to clean that black off. Never worried about it as I use what I clean. Tho I had a cheap tool turn into Swiss cheese, never had a problem with quality tools.

The way I read it he is removing the existing asphalt and then mixing it with new and laying it back down. Crumbling concrete would seem to be an ok base if it isn't sliding away downhill. I'm not anywhere close to an expert though....

I'd be tempted to measure tin can stock and use that, especially if it took 2 wraps to get the correct thickness.

Just learned this recently, and I believe it was on this site. Heating the bolt makes it want to expand, and because it's constricted by whatever surrounds it, it expands in the direction of least constriction, usually length. Once it's cooled it shrinks slightly. Repeated heating and cooling...
