    Maybe some heat shrink poly screwed on with battens. Once shrunk it looks pretty good and smooth.

    Yes, over 3' needs support. In that case get some colored screws and screw into every second rib if 4 rib soffit on that center support. Your framers should have had that support there already.

    Also recommend aluminum soffits. Run a level from the fascia to the wall. Mark 1/2" below that. Run a chalk line. The chalk line will be seen at the bottom of the soffit J (trim).     As said by a couple people, the spring and stop bracket need to slide side to side on the rod to be able to adjust the ramp width.

    I dont understand why. It seems like a lot of work to get a 90° weldable bend. And time is money. Is it stronger? Easier to make sure the angle is square? Two 45° cuts laid in a jig will get the same corner and a hell of a lot quicker.
