    What is your Pet Peeve?

Software prompts, instructions and error messages that are so cryptic they can either be interpreted multiple ways, or can't be interpreted at all. I assume this duty is given to the youngest, most non-native speakers in the department. Why don't companies understand the competency of the user...

    An Affordable Track Saw Option

This perfectly describes my experience. I don't have strong brand preferences, I expect most tools from the big makers to be pretty usable these days, especially since I'm only a hobbyist. That said, for some reason I've never gotten into DeWalt. I bought the Makita tracksaw, new, mainly...

    An Affordable Track Saw Option

Interesting that you mention the trigger. The one I bought would work for a few seconds and then stop. Same pattern over and over. After reading a review or two that mentioned the entire saw going bad I decided to return it.

"..I know she has been into the “hot flash zone”, so this should help with that too." I hate to be that guy suggesting what you've probably heard many times before - But have either of you been to a Lyme *specialist* and gotten tested for Babesia?

Grey Pneumatic Duo-Sockets instead of chromes. And I would consider a cordless 3/8 impact (which didn't exist when I was starting) a necessity.

Or they're still testing the market and haven't decided whether to produce and stock these in mass quantities. That would be a major red flag for me....

There are a couple of other Pex A/F1960 suppliers. Apollo, which seems to be Chinese, Legend Valve, some supply-house brands (Blue Fin, Everflow - almost certainly from China) and Zurn. Of those, my choice would be Legend Valve.

I've noticed a pretty universal tendency of people, once in a certain age bracket, to over-focus (make that "obsess") on small, relatively irrelevant things at the expense of the big picture. They can no longer comprehend the big picture and the little things are something they can comprehend...

224 Piece Craftsman Set at Lowe’s

I was looking for a box like that recently. I think the one in the ad was around $60, and was most definitely not the quality of those 30 years ago.

If I were around lead I would worry about other things before cancer. Neurotoxicity (bigtime), endocrine disruption, heart problems. You couldn't ever pay me enough to breath lead fumes (again).

So he wants to own the method and make you responsible for the result? That can't work. If he owns the method, he has to own the result. If you have to own the result, then you have to have the freedom to get there in a manner of your own choosing.

Anyone else ever win on ebay accidentally?

I browse guitar forums and read of a guy who acquired a guitar that way. That wasn't really his intent, he was actually at a family picnic trying to show his aunt in real time how ebay worked, including sniping. He searched, found a guitar auction just about to end, and put in a ridiculously...

It is pretty apparent your Dad has Borderline Personality Disorder, or something very similar. Defined by tumultuous personal relationships, among other things. That isn't your fault and will never change. All you can do is cope by setting distances and boundaries.

    socket rails

If you are referring to the Zeal rail, the rails looks identical to the magnetic ones sold now or in the past by Kobalt, Harbor Freight and others. These use the Ares/Olsa clips, the ones which have the shoulders in the upper corners.
