Bought this tombstone box off Ebay the other day. I see other tombstone boxes within this thread's pages and some of the catalogs and they appeared mostly with 1/2" drive stuff. Fortunately this box still has a remaining sticker on top stating its a 76 pc multi-drive set. Judging by the ID plate...

Just purchased this late 1930s to early 1940s Husky 1/2" drive set. The 1938 catalog lists a No. 2139 set that is almost identical but it only lists 10 sockets where mine has 10 sockets but room for 11. Mine also has a H2700 7/16 socket whereas the catalog set starts with the H2701 1/2"...

Tracking, it came with the powrkraft sockets. Which leads me to wonder if the plastic box was a powrkraft item (similar to stormking's post) or just an off box. I know Thorsen used a similar black plastic box in their 1990s era military sets...and Thorsen made some PowrKraft so by association...?

Hey, is that a deeper black plastic box? I recently bought a small lot of powrkraft sockets and it came with a deeper black plastic box. No clear lid on mine so a little different.

Question. I've got a Wards Master 1/4 drive set that I've filled with Wards Master stuff. Then I've got an older style "Wards Master Quality" box (see post #595). I've seen Ward Master, Wards Master, Wards Mast'r but I've not seen anything (sockets, drivers...) specific to Wards Master Quality...

Anybody know who might be the producer of this spinner handle. It came in an odd black plastic socket box with several PowrKraft sockets. It is red wine colored.

See pic...the pin goes through the 1-2" socket and the indent in the handle seats onto it.

Also, to note, the 1935 ad says "adapter" as part of the set while the 1938 catalog refers to the plug as a screwdriver adapter. Pictured in both references is a straight plug. My set has the plug on one end and the screwdriver blade on the other...so to quote you from another post, "which came...

There's just a patented date on the ell handle of December 12, 1922. Also, look how the ratchet is grooved to fit around the standing pin. It's so efficient.
