A diesel barrel is awful light. On a Central Boiler or Woodmaster the barrel is usually 3/8. Whatever you for will have to hold up to at least 185 degrees plus the expanding and contraction.

Mac is now Chinese junk for the most part. No relation to the company Bob McCullough started and ran. Ownership of the name bounced around, Husky may own it today.

All I buy anymore is ratchets or specialty tools. So overpriced, you can get Stahlwille wrenches which (if you believe you tube vids) are stronger and cost less or Wright or SK for less money. I stopped buying their screwdrivers as I've found Felo 500 series or Wiha or PB Swiss to cost much less...

I've got a PC cordless drill and impact, one of my boys got it for me a couple of years ago. Its been tough as nails so far for farm residential use, much better than my Dealt 12 volt set, I've also got Makita cordless 18v which is comparable.

Just for the heck of it I would visually inspect the cylinder and do a compression test. The BG 75 is getting long in the tooth. Should have a minimum of 100 psi too run, make sure the cylinder walls aren't scored.

Do you have you diaphragms and gaskets in the right order, pump side gasket down first with diaphragm on top. On metering side diaphragm down first with gasket on top, did you change you needle? If the needle tip is red you should have replaced it.

I have used one for a couple of years in a small engine shop setting as a dedicated spark plug removal ratchet. It has been flawless. It's smooth and still tight. Great little ratchet imho. Not like my Snappy but it cost a fraction of the Snappiest.
