    12th annual GJ Secret Santa!

Shipped mine out today. The USPS experts claim it will arrive to my victim by Tuesday December 17th. I didn't add a letter but will PM him Christmas Day.

Auto Body Project/Paint Supplies to Buy

What color is your SUV? Blending is a skill that can take years to learn especially if it is a high metallic or even worse pearl (tri-coat) coat color. Certain colors are also much more expensive over others such as red. If you have deep scratches in the paint chances are you will be...

Looking for some advice on broadcasting a digital radio signal over a CCTV system

Yeah, I've was in this position for over ten years before they actually gave it a title and paid us accordingly. I was going to lawyer up like others in my department have done when something like this happens, but as long as they keep me in this position and continue to pay me the salary I'll...

Looking for some advice on broadcasting a digital radio signal over a CCTV system

That's more or less our take on the entire thing. The fiscal year just started July 1st so they have money to spend, it just depends on how deep in their pockets they want to go. Anything over $1k requires a PO which means red tape. I was just seeing if anyone here has knowledge on the subject.

Looking for some advice on broadcasting a digital radio signal over a CCTV system

We will more than likely be getting a new contractor once it goes out for bid so I can guarantee we will not be able to receive ANY training. As for streaming, that is also not an option. The PC is a standalone unit with zero ability to connect to the internet. That's not even an option since...

Looking for some advice on broadcasting a digital radio signal over a CCTV system

I work in a prison as a Correctional Officer/Electronics Tech in a state prison. 99.99% of my job deals with data lines, networking issues, printers etc. etc. Well, recently they threw the CCTV system we have in the facility onto our laps since the contractor we had that dealt with all things...

    More junk

That is amazing!! I bet you could make a smaller one (like a 300#'er is small...lol) from the drop and sell it to recoop some of your expenses. Since Forged in Fire has aired everyone wants to get into blacksmithing now, and hipsters have been bucking up good money for anvils. They'd pay a...

How to tell if my mig welders regulator is bad??

It was the regulator. I swapped it out with another one and it works fine now. Thanks for the advice!!

    More junk

How would you go about moving that even if you did cut it in two? Nice finds, but my back aches just looking at the scores.

How to tell if my mig welders regulator is bad??

Well, I'm pretty sure it's the regulator. I swapped hoses and I could get gas to flow out of the gun but then it started to purge gas from the release valve on the side of the regulator. Now I am left with the task of tracking down my flow meter I use for my 220v welder. It's in one of 30 totes...

How to tell if my mig welders regulator is bad??

I have owned my Lincoln SP100 for over 20 years with the same regulator and today I was using the welder just fine, but after I ate lunch and went back at it the welder would not allow the gas to pass through the gun. The bottle is half full per the gauge and if I remove the regulator and open...

I'm trying to stuff 10#'s of sh!@ in a five # bag and need some help!!

I think "critical" is a bit strong especially since I'd be more than allowed to do any of the recommendations people posted per the landlord. I just don't want to spend the time/money and was looking for some ideas for cheaper lighting people have used in the past. As for my welding equipment...

S-K Wayne. What are your thoughts?

I have a small SK Wayne tool box I grabbed at a fleamarket a few years ago for $15. It is a simple design. It's definitely not snap-on quality, but still a decent little flip lid toolbox. The pulls are sort of chintzy, but I snagged it because it had a few cool vintage stickers on it. I'll...

    My 'new' Gym-Dandy cabinet

If it was mine, I'd clean it up a bit using some rust converter and leave that puppy just as-is. That's real deal patina, and not this **** people try and mimic nowadays. If you want to go with stripping it the only real way to do it would be media blasting, but I'd take the slides out since...

I'm trying to stuff 10#'s of sh!@ in a five # bag and need some help!!

Thanks for the advice. It is a rental (2 year lease). I'm not gonna sink any money into things that will benefit my landlord down the road so any "electrical upgrades" will be in the form of light fixtures I plug into an existing outlet. I'm sure I'll be setting up portable lights when I...

I'm trying to stuff 10#'s of sh!@ in a five # bag and need some help!!

Nice!! Here's a pic of the same exact one my dad owned. Same stripe kit and all. His had a dealer installed CB radio that used to get me and my brother in trouble all the time from talking to the truck driver's. I know I'll find one to call my own again one day.

Uses for glass baby food jars?

I saved a few when my son was a young lad to use as an oil quench when I was drilling out spot welds on cars. They are a perfect height for a spot weld cutter bit and I'd just blast a bit of cutting oil in there from time to time and close the lid when I was done to put away for the next round.
