Anyone seen a tool like this before?

So far looks like this is a one of a kind idea. I can't see it holding too well. My first thought was that if indeed the tool worked well he would have a patent on it or you would see him on Shark Tank hawking it. I don't see demos on you tube. He does have it on E-Bay but I don't see any...

Anyone seen a tool like this before?

Doing my daily search on Cl and saw this. Looks like he is making them himself. I have not decided if it a great idea or not. I can think of a few times it may have come in handy. Has anyone seen anything like it before. Here is the ad. http://omaha.craigslist.org/tls/4914719279.html Here is...

    Best torch set up?

Having been through this recently. I bought used Oxy-acetylene off Cl and came out OK but If I had to do it over again I would start off with an Oxy-propane setup: I would buy a new torch and regulators off E-Bay. Get a Type T hose off Amazon. Craigslist for an oxygen bottle or just rent one...

    Radial arm or miter saw

For the shop I prefer a radial arm. For most things that I do that require angles and crosscuts they are away from the shop so I use my miter saw the most. As you said the portability is a factor. I just added a 2nd radial arm to my shop. It is an electronic deluxe version with 6 drawers under...

    Too good to be true?

I ordered the set shortly after you posted this because I wanted some larger metrics to collect some saw dust in my wood shop. Mine stopped at 19mm. Shows it will arrive by Friday and they already left positive feedback for me. While the MSRP is over 300 (according to Grainger and Zoro)there...

    Scroll Saw Recommendation

I have the old 20" Craftsman also. Bought it for $25 off CL. As said it is decent. I don't care for the slow start up but has good power through the range of speeds.

    SK Knurled Sockets

I find it rather strange as well. The good news is I just saved some money and time not having to try and get a set of 3/8ths that are knurled. "happy as the red dress girl" is a saying I am not familiar with. I know girls in red dresses make me happy. Granted not as happy as girls with no...

    SK Knurled Sockets

I have an older set of SK 1/2 drive Sockets where the base is knurled and a 1/4 set of SK sockets that have knurling as well. None of my 3/8 drive SK sockets have knurling on them. Looking through Alloy artifacts and E-bay I did not see any 3/8 sockets that are knurled. Did they not make a...

    Best tool for pinewood derby?

<quote>"Take this opportunity to let the boy learn, not as your greatest moment."</quote This right here is the best info. Buy a some better coping saw blades and a dremel type tool and let him have at it. Eat some of that boy scout pop corn while you watch him.

How do I do this without a mill?

Onefastgsx what did the geared piece of aluminum you are using come from. I looks similar to the gearing used on an Apache camper lift system. Only difference is the hole would be in the center and some gearing on the inside.

Your thoughts on a used torch set.

So far looks like I am over reacting and it is a good deal. Which was my first thought. I may agree more once my worries on the acetylene regulator are over. New gauges should be here tomorrow. If I have to buy a new regulator and some new tips that puts me over $300 dollars invested. That is...

Your thoughts on a used torch set.

I had wanted a torch set for quite some time. I saw a CL ad where a shop was going out of business and listed an acetylene torch with 4 tanks. I called and he asked what I would offer. I told him I was looking at getting it for a couple hundred bucks, if it was not too beat up. He paused and...

    Youtube videos worth watching?

I came in to be sure Keith Rucker got a mention. I loved the restore vids he did on an old Oliver table saw. Also Keith Fenner, both are good. I am now also a big fan of HULA HOOP WOMAN!

    KRL-1003 on CL for $800

Yes it was. I saw the ad when I got off work and called him. My first question was is that asking price correct. He put pictures up shortly after I talked to him. I thought about flipping it but figured why cheat someone out of a good deal. I wonder if someone from GJ bought it?

    KRL-1003 on CL for $800

Looks like a good deal to me. No picture to see but would be good even with a restore. I called and he verified the asking price. I don't have a need for a box the link http://omaha.craigslist.org/tls/4829180387.html the ad: for when it is sold snap on tool box - $800 (omaha) snap on tool box...
