Shower Set with Exposed Shower Faucet

I'm not understanding how this works. See picture. The pipe going up is for a fixed shower head. The flex hose is for a hand held shower head. Both of those work OK. The button on the left looks like it is to activate the faucet pointing down. However, when you lift it up water just...

Pool Timer for 240 V Space Heater

I have a stand alone 240 volt 30 A space heater for the garage and would like a delay off timer but none are available. I also use this outlet for a mid welder if that matters. It looks like I may be able to use a pool timer with a change but would like to clarify what I currently see on my...

Harbor Freight Motorcycle Lift - Pointed Set Screw Purpose?

My HF lift has a pointed set screw where the large shaft goes through the center triangular part. See picture. There are just a couple of threads so it falls out but does not seem to affect anything. Does anyone know exactly what it is supposed to do? Without disassembly, it looks like there...

Very Basic Blasting Cabinet Set Up

I bought a used blasting cabinet, the cheapest HF cabinet, and I have a 3hp compressor so it is about as basic as it can get. It came with some kind of media so I thought I would give it a try. It is not sand so I'm guessing glass beads or could it even be soda. It got wet at some time so...

Countdown Timer for 220 volt space heater?

I have a Dr Heater 220 volt space heater with 30 amp plug. I think it is about 20.1 amps. It is cheap and works great but is noisy. I'm concerned that someday, I may turn it on, leave and forget about it so would like a countdown timer for auto shutoff. I don't see any of spring loaded ones...

    Shop Light with 10' cord?

I'm looking for a standard old fluorescent type shop light with 9 or 10 foot cord. Does anyone make one? I need to move a light and thought I could just change out the cord but it is plastic snap together thing that does not want to come apart.

Outdoor Bench - Rotating Sun Screen?

I have a bench outside of the garage man door that is used for particularly dirty or smelly work. Location is nice because air line and power cord reach but sun is brutal. Throughout the day it basically travels right over the bench in summer. I had one of those pop up type covers but there...

    Impact Wrench Reverse Issue

My impact wrench works in one direction "R" but when switched to "F" I just hear air leaking. If I hunt for a position not fully at the F limit, it will work. At full F, the knob on the F side is inside the body more than the R knob at full R. This is a Cambell Hausfeld Medallion Series...

    Wall AC Questions

I was looking for a local place to buy a wall ac unit and ended up being given an old unit. I made up an extension cord and ran it on a cart so it seems OK. I have anumber of questions. The is a Westinghouse White that came with its own sleeve. I don't see anything that holds it in the...

Wall AC - What & Where

I have a 600 sq ft garage. It is sunk in the front of the house with a bedroom covering 1/2 of it. The other half has a vented crawl space. It is finished in dry wall and has insulated doors facing west. This is in Sacramento, very hot but very dry in summer. 1. Would 15,000 btus be...

    Oil Eater in Parts Washer?

Has anyone tried Oil Eater in a non heated parts washer? I would like to use a "green" product if possible. I have tried various detergent type fluids and they basically do not work. Fluids with citrus work OK or almost OK but eat all of the paint on the parts washer and turn it into rust.
