    SOLD - free - 4 sharpening stones

I have picked up few sharpening stones over the years of garage sales, and I will keep the ones I regularly use. These 4 others are free to anyone that can use them. The small one with a box appears to be/have been used with oil.

    Sinking porch post

I have a 15 year old small porch roof over the patio doors. The house is 25 years old. One side of the roof has dropped about 1-1/2". I want to level it out, mainly for resale reasons. I think the post concrete dropped over the first few years, the other side seems level from the house. -...

    feeler gauges

stopped by a garage sale near home, not much there, picked up a few consumables. But also grabbed these feeler gauges. I really don't need them, already have a dozen or so, these were greasy, but otherwise looked in good shape. They cleaned up well with just a wipe of spirits. One thing of...

    Ideas for 7/8" flooring transition

I'm helping a friend replace the flooring transition piece in an office. There is laminate flooring butted up to tile, the height is around 7/8" difference from vinyl to tile. The height difference is also slightly off end to end, I'll have to accommodate for that too. There is concrete below...

Part of a recent garage sale box of tools. I was mostly impressed with the workmanship on the box itself. Don't really need the jig or the bits.

    Vintage Starrett dividers

from a recent box of tools I picked up: an older Starrett spring divider with an unusual (to me) locking nut - the logo is "The L.S.S. Co" "Athol, Mass, USA" - it also has a logo/stamp on each leg " AWA Chicago" I think - the nut is split in a manner that the inner threads only engage when...

    some sort of rollers??

Probably not really a tool, but I thought I would ask around. I got this in a bucket of rusted tools. Was really rusted together, so I soaked it for several weeks in molasses bath, with a few light wire brush scrubs in between. Finally it came apart and I could better brush off the rollers...
