    Williams Offset Combo Wrenches

Has anyone used the Williams Offset combination wrenches? They have a very short (1 inch?) offset. I can see where they would be useful in certain situations. The COO is Argentina, first Argentinian tools I've seen. Which brings up another question. Argentina?? Any idea how they measure up to...

    Breaker Bar Question

I came across some older (vintage?) breaker bars pretty cheap. Snap On, SK, Plomb, and a few other makes. Is the drive end supposed to move freely or is it supposed to "lock" (not really lock, more like stop) into place at 90 degrees? Or does it matter? Every one I've owned did lock, just...

    Different Snap On styles

Anyone know why Snap On has these two different step styles in their 1/2 drive x 1/2" sockets? I'm guessing it's just different years of manufacture had different designs.

    WrightGrip 2.0

So what's the difference between the WrightGrip wrenches and the 2.0 version? Excellent tools for sure, but their website is lacking.

    Snap On Question

I picked up a Snap On socket at a yard sale this past weekend. There is no date code and the drive end has an unusual (to me anyway) matt finish. Any ideas as to when and why?

Has anyone had trouble accessing Epstein's site? I've tried yesterday and today but I'm getting a "503 Error". Down for maintenance maybe?

    Ball hex question

Is a ball hex actually designed to be used as a wobble? I know it can be as long as you don't crank on it. Or is the ball just to ease access to hard to get places and then used in a straight on manner?

    Wera rebuildable?

I recently picked up a Wera 8003C 1/2 in drive push through ratchet. I'm very happy with it, it's smooth, robust and feels good in hand. If something were ever to go wrong is it rebuildable? If it's not, would Wera cover it with a new ratchet under their lifetime warranty?

    SK sockets

All my metrics are Stahlwille, I don't use SAE very often but would like build a new set. I've already got a near complete set of SK combination wrenches so I'm leaning toward their socket sets. I've heard a few folks complaining about SK sockets, is there something I don't know? They look...

I know there is a thread on the SK Club somewhere but I can't find it. Some of you indicated you joined the "Pro" Club, has anyone gotten their free socket yet and can you give us the details on how it worked?

    Finish prefrence

Is there any difference, other than cosmetic, between a high gloss chrome finish and a European style low gloss, given both are top notch manufacturers? Seems the low gloss might not peel as readily but I haven't seen any actual figures.

    Steelman Pro 160 tooth ratchet

Well these have been around for a while now. Has anyone actually used one long enough to form an opinion? If they actually work I feel compelled to own one, even if I definately don't need one.

    Kobalt Question

I have several Kobalt USA wrenches. Is there a way to tell if they were manufactured by Williams or Danaher? I understand that after Danaher, Kobalt production went to JS Manufacturing (USA). Is JS still making them at their Taiwan factory?

    German tool question

I'm upgrading from Craftsman and starting to buy Stahlwille tools through the mail from Germany. I notice the tools are marked in English "Made in Germany", Gedore and Hazet, I believe, are similarly marked in English. Are these intended for export or are they all marked this way? Thanks!

    Socket detents and holes

Hello everyone, nice to meet you all. I recently picked up a set of 3/8" drive Wera sockets and was wondering why they have both detents (3 of them) and a single hole for the ratchet ball bearing to lock into. All my other brands of sockets only have the detents. I even have some older...
