Fill cut lines before or after acid staining / polyurea application?

So what is the concensus? Is it best to apply the acid stain and polyurea coating first, then mask and fill the relief cuts? Or is it better to fill the cuts first, then apply the coatings? I plan on using a self-leveling sealant like Sika SL or Extreme set 100. Will either of these...

    Experiences with Single-Part Polyurea?

Last Tuesday we placed 1/2 of our new floor in the 40x64 building. Now to find an appropriate coating to keep it nice. Have been reading about Single-Part Polyurea and it sounds good. Does anyone have semi-long-term experience with it? And would you share any pro's or con's?

30 amp 220 breaker without a connecting bar?

I saw this picture on another post and I borrowed it for illustration purposes. See the bottom left twin 30 amp breaker? We recently bought a HUD house as-is and found a similar breaker in its' box. I assumed that the PO simply removed the connecting bar and used it as 2 - 30s. But seeing...

Custom dryer adapter for old pigtail to new style outlet.

Interesting. Even more interesting considering the new appliances (as in range and dryers) do not even have the connection inside them for the 4th conductor to mount to.

    Recommended subfloor?

I'll be starting a flooring project in the house (new construction) and was wondering what the latest and/or greatest in subflooring is? We have Nafco by Tarkett 16''x16" x1/8 groutless vinyl tiles. I'm sure the days of just stapling down Lauen have been improved upon........ so lets hear 'em.

Acceptable deflection on a 16' ceiling span?

I'm closing in on a plan to enclose, insulate, and heat my 150ish year old post & beam type barn. This is my shop, and will be much more useful when I can fire up the furnace without heating the great outdoors. It does get cold here. The plan is to replace the pair of sliders on the...

Bonded neutral/ground in new 200amp service?

Been lurking around here for a couple years and gotten a lot of ideas from this group. Haven't posted much but now I need help. In planning a new service install for our 150 year old house (and 100amp's for my shop :bounce: ) I was talked into stepping outside of my comfort zone. I've...
