    carbon monoxide

We all know the dangers. So I bought a bunch of CO detectors and put them all over the place. One day I put 4 of them in my attached garage and started my car with my fob. On purpose. With the garage doors closed. After 30 minutes none of the CO detectors alarmed and the 2 with the digital read...

    Garage floor paint

I painted my cement garage floor with epoxy paint and it looks great. But the cars front tires will peel the paint off after it sits over night. Any suggestions how to prevent this? Repainting the spots every few weeks is getting a little old. Appreciate any insight. Thanks.

    Garage floor paint

I painted my garage floor with epoxy paint. Looks great but the hot tires especially in the summer peel of the paint under the tire when it sits over night. Just under the front tires where most of the weight is. Back tires are fine. Is there a protective clear coat I can apply over just the...

    Garage floor paint

I need to do something with a newly poured slab and was thinking of painting instead of sealing. Im thinking of latex followed by a coat of oil based. Does that make sense? Its in a single car detached garage.

    Quietest 240 volt garage heater

Can anyone recommend a good and quiet heater for my 500 sq ft insulated shop? Im considering a 7.5 kw unit heater for quick warm ups although 5kw would probably suffice.I find my 240 watt construction heater which I occasionally use in the basement to be a little loud.

    220 volt unit heater.

My electrician friend is advising me on hooking up 220 heat in my garage. He had me buy 40 feet of 8/2 wire and a dual 30 amp (15x2)cb which I have run from the box to the garage ceiling myself. He is coming over to do the hook up. My question is how big a heater can I run with this set up. Im...

    Heated garage and rust theory

So I decided to heat my new garage. I love the idea of jumping into a nice warm car with instant heat and warm seats. But the first thing that everyone says is whoa dont heat your garage or your car will rust. I doubt that. Sounds alot like old wives tales and sour grapes from folks without...
