    how close to pad is frost barrier

    I am trying to figure out how close the frost barrier is to the cement pad. I do not want to dig it so it will disturb the foundation of the pad, so how close should it be to the cement edge of the pad? I am digging it down 3 feet, frost barrier that is. Cheers Ron.
