    Rock Island 573

I picked up this rock island 573 but as I was restoring it I noticed that on the static jaw it says 573 but on the other it has 593 stamped. Any idea why this would be.

    Anvil manufacturer

Picked up this anvil a few weeks ago. This is my first one so I know nothing about them. Can anyone identify the manufacturer. It appears to be in good shape. I got it in a bundle buy so it came in under $200. It has a 15 on front..

    Got me a great deal

Went to pick up a post vise a fellow had for sale and on my way out I saw a Baldor 8100w, a 125 lb anvil and a very old hand crank drill press. Well I drove away with everything for $375. I am a happy camper.

    General fire extinguisher vise (grinnell)

Picked this up today. It shows a tad over 120 lbs. I didn’t need another vise but, this darn thing looked like new. The jaws are great and the Hugh screw looks like it has never been turned. The handle is larger than my Reed 106. I really like this thing and I don’t say that often about open...

    Reed vise

Ok I need info from the experts. I just picked up this 3 1/2 reed. It has the reed info but no patent dates. It does have the # 27 in two places. Is this the assembly info or a date of manufacture. Any Idea on made date. Also take a look at the spindle, not hockey puck or meatball style. Thanks

My question is were many of the 106’s made with a swivel base? I see some but they have a solid base. Is the swivel rare. I...
