    Snap on tool box frustration….

So after about a year with my used snap on 7022 I have realized that while the box is pretty decent the drawer liners are utter ****! And the biggest problem is that they are so deep I can’t find any drawer liners that would work. These things don’t hold anything in place not even themselves my...

    Bought a wacky tool that now i don't need….

So to make a very long story short. I needed to do a repair on my truck and one of the bolts was a torx head. The T 30 was too small and the T 40 seemed to be too big so I figured it was a T 35. Not many people make a T 35 torx. So I bought my first tour truck tool and it is a lovely Matco T35...

Curious, what pro mechanic tool brands are used in other countries?

It is just a curiosity but watching some tv shows about cars from UK the tools look a bit different from the standard Snap on, Mac and Matco tools we see here

The one thing i miss about craftsman/sears….

Even though they’re not the best, I miss being able to walk into a store and just window shop or look at all the tools that are available for purchase. I would always wind up buying something but now there’s nowhere to go do this

Let’s just say for whatever reason you had to start over from scratch buying tools, how would you purchase them knowing what you know today. me personally I would probably start off with the following an add in as needed from there: nice used tool cart or small Snappy box the 3/8 master chrome...

A buddy of mine used to be a mechanic and recently he had to move into an apartment so I am babysitting his snap on KRL 7022 fully loaded with all snap on tools. He did leave me the key and said I am welcome to use anything I want. I do plan on trying some of the ratchets to see if they’re...

    I am getting fed up.

From day one I never liked the drawer liners in my snap on box. It drives me insane that they move around and slide when I am not even a heavy use mechanic. I am a weekend warrior and I take the time to close the drawers softly and some how all my tool end up sliding towards the back of the...

    Inexpensive teardown table?

I realized today that I spend a lot of time cleaning up and being very careful with lots of cardboard when i am working on things. So I googled workbench with drain and it turns out they are called tear down tables. The only problem is that I’m finding is that most of them are over $1000. I...

    Hydraulic jack oil change?

I just purchased a new Jack today (Daytona low profile/long reach) and in the instructions it says to change out the oil every three years. I have two older Craftsman ones that I have never change the oil on and they are probably 20 years old. Should I even bother changing the oil in those?

So the other day I went to go use my 7/16 combo wrench, which happens to be a USA craftsman and low and behold it is a six point box end... Anyone make a small 1/4 electric ratchet?

I would like to find a 1/4 inch electric ratchet to go along with my 3/8 inch electric ratchet from Milwaukee. The Milwaukee one is nice but it is rather large and I don’t feel like it’s going to fit in many other places that a quarter inch ratchet normally would. Also for quarter-inch it is...
