Snow belt areas and ridge vent.

I have to admit since moving to IL. from the warm East Coast, it's been one nightmare after another. Latest problem after the -10 degrees and 12" of snow with 30mph winds. Seems the snow has blown into my ridge vent and I now have a water leak inside the garage and wet insulation. I'm now...

    lighting question

Getting close to wiring up for the ceiling lights. Question is; can a 2' x 4' fluorescent light fixture made for drop in ceilings be installed between my 2' spaced trusses? Floor poured

After breaking ground in November, the floor is finally poured. Weather and excusses from the concrete contractor have delayed my project. Hope for better luck from my builder... http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a203/Donzi4me/DCP_0044.jpg

How should I do my drain???

Local code here does NOT allow a drain in the garage to be hooked up to the sewer. I can understand that. But they also do not allow a drain to be installed to the yard as run off either. If I put any drain holes thru the wall, it must be filled with concrete before it will pass final. So my...
