    Advantage/ BB / Wildlife lift owners - got a ? for you

So I’ve got a new Advantage 9000 XLT and have been dialing it in. I’ve got the cables adjusted properly, have the top caps in correct locations, etc. I’ve got one column that moves out of position as the lift travels up and down. It’s the column opposite end of the runway from the power unit. I...

Bosch GLL-55 Laser Level - trashed?

Had it for a few years, been great. Got it out to use it yesterday and found the AA batteries had spilled their guts. I wiped it out / off, blew it out with air hose, and installed new batteries but nada. Anyone ever sent one of these in for repair? Is it even repairable?

Sika self leveling sealer - color alternatives?

Love the Sika self leveling sealant, but the light grey isn’t gonna look good for the saw cuts in my garage floor (sealed concrete). Is there any alternative that is more of a medium / darker grey?

Setting a steel post for sat dish

Got a new house build and refuse to put holes in it for satellite dish and internet antenna. My plan is to use a 9’ stick of 2” square tubing I have laying around as a mounting post about 50’ out in the side yard. I think it’s either 3/16” or 1/4” wall, it’s stout. I’ve already got a 2” LB...

    Craigslist score / restore

So, this one is a little different than the normal "tool" find. I ride motorcycles and have several sets of gear (leather suit, leather & textile jackets, pants) that I need to store. I had the in-side closet space at our old house, but we are now living in a smaller place until we get a new...

Craigslist engine hoist, how'd I do?

Picked up a used but good condition engine host this evening. It's an Arcan CEH-41, 2-ton hoist. It looks like its built pretty heavy duty. Google search shows auction or other classified ads across the country in the $200-250 price range. I got this one for $175. Are these good units? ...

    Need some impact advice

Here's my situation. I recently bought a M35A2 Military Deuce. I am looking at buying an impact to use to remove the wheels on this truck, but I hate to drop big bucks on an impact that I may only use for that purpose once or twice a year. I've been reading great things about the Harbor Freight...

    Step finishing input needed

Hey guys, so a few weeks ago I tore the step off the wall when I was caulking all the joints/cracks in my garage floor/wall joint. I have rebuilt the step like it was only using 3/4 plywood instead of press board for the top. I am going to repaint the garage white when it warms up, but can't...
