    Amana mini split question

Update. The unit has done the same thing four nights in a row. I checked the drain line and it is clear. sometime when I reset the breakers it will come to life sometimes not. Every time it shows a communication error. I threw in the towel and a service tech is coming out this evening. I did...

    Amana mini split question

I never had a system that would fix itself. I guess I will have to wait and see if it continues to work properly.

    Amana mini split question

Last night I got a notification on my phone of a communitation error and to call my dealer(which I found out they went out of business). I tried turning off both breakers and turning them back on but everything was still completely dead. I then called another Amana dealer and scheduled a tech...

    Tile and grout scale.

I have not sealed the grout or the tile since I built it about nine years ago. Would resealing help prevent future build up?

    Tile and grout scale.

I am retrying some CRL since I ground most of it off. If that doesn't work I will go to muriatic acid. I will keep you informed. Thanks

    Tile and grout scale.

It was a "factory built" foam pan covered with a waterproof coating. I use body wash. I should have taken pictures before I ground most of it off. Sorry

    Tile and grout scale.

It is not a thin film and has not always been there. The shower was completed about eight years ago but the "scale" showed up about a year ago. It is thick enough that I can scrape it off with a razor scraper but that is a lot of work. I used a cement type of grout not epoxy. There is visible...

    Tile and grout scale.

On my walk in shower I have some type of "scale" forming. It is white in color and very hard. I have tried vinegar, full strength muriatic acid, CRL, and the scale remover used in our ice maker. Nothing seems to touch it. I finally used my angle grinder with a flap wheel to knock it off but I...

    Rust Bullet Tire Lift

I have had Rust Bullet down in my shop for a few years now and I have not had ANY lifting at all. It is a general use shop and I keep my collector cars in it. I love the stuff.

I did direct bury and had failure in about four years. I then went to conduit and that has been over ten years without and trouble.

Bendpak Wheel Kit Paid for Itself.

I also used mine for a mobile platform while installing the shop lights. I put two sheets of plywood on it and had a great work space.

It is a 410A unit and came with a 5 year warranty. I would love to answer bazar01's questions but I lack the skill set to go any further on the unit.

    Lennox A/C died

I am Just a DYI er but I did check power on the load side of the contactor and I have power there. I found one overload with a reset button and that was not tripped. When I apply power there is no hum or any noise from the compressor, that is why I assumed it had died. I will call a pro tomorrow...

    Whole House Generator ?

I have a 23kw Armstrong generator. It has a Lister Petter diesel engine. It will power my whole house. I do not have an ATS, I just shut off my main breaker and turn on the gen breaker once its up and running. On full load it burns about one gal per hour. Mine is for mainly hurricane use so when...

    LED bulb question

Thank you so much for the info. That's what I was looking for. Your LED's bulbs are cheaper than replacement fluorescent tubes at the big box and no ballast to worry with. OOPS i got happy too quick. I need single pin.
