I've seen bolts like that before on a car a coworker was working on. Can't recall 100% but i think they were OE on the headers? Ended up chopping up an old socket to make it work.

You will never be able to make them true with that. Anything hand held is just to prepare the surface after turning them on a lathe. Buy better quality rotors and just replace them.

On my craftsman ratchets theres a spring and a small ball bearing under the selector to hold it into position, i lost the ball bearing while taking it apart but it still holds direction, but the selector does move quite a bit. If you dont want to bother trying to warrenty them, pull them apart...

I'm still using the craftsman trays, the current ones have held up alright (for now). Looking to replace them some time in the future for some bigger trays.

12 pt wrenches are more popular because unlike a ratchet you some times cant position the wrench at the right angle to get good leverage with the box end, considering the wrench itself is pretty long. They make it rubberized so it doesn't scratch up or marr any automotive finishes. Worst thing in the world after working on a car is having to put most, all, or even more then the profit you made into a paint detailing or repainting of something you scratched up!

Well thats for five trays. Sears sells the craftsman equivalent. (In steel with rubberized magnet bottoms. A little flimsy, the magnets are held on with what seems like epoxy or something along those lines. Had one fall apart while it was hanging upside down without being used one, And another...

I tried using one with a 1/2" ratchet. It got caught up on itself and the top half left a nice indent on the bottom half and vice versa. Never used one again, went out and got a craftsman pinless universal swivel (slight downgrade from Matco, the Matco is a tad shorter)

Small screws, mostly door panels and random repair around the shop. Center mount brake lights on some mini vans are held in with screws, license plate bulbs, some air filter boxes etc etc.

Currently have a Snap-on 7.2v Li-ion 3/8 impact gun (CT661) and was looking to buy the screwgun version (CTS661). Does anyone have any experience using a 3/8 to 1/4 hex adapter to use an impact gun as a screwdriver...

The Matco 1/2 drive impact gun (the one with 1100ft breakaway and 780ft reverse torque) is made by Ingersoll Rand. I always just assumed IR made most or all of Matco's air tools.

Sounds like a seal inside is broken, i've had it happen to an impact gun before. Did you try oiling it and running it for a bit to see if it helps at all? Maybe it's just been sitting so long.

I'm sure SOMEONE makes 30mm 3/8 drive socket, but probably not that easy to come by. But yes, you can get an adapter.

I did judge it by using it in an incorrect manner. It broke before a lower quality ratchet. Will you ever put that much strain on a ratchet? Yes. I work as an automotive tech and i've had to put a good amount of strain on my ratchets a number of times. Did i strain it far too much? Damn...

Of course thats the problem, anything will break with enough leverage. My point was just to say that just because its Snap-on and has alot of fine teeth doesn't necessarily make it bullet proof. I love all my snap-on ratchets, but i know my Snap-on will go before my Craftsman in a sticky situation.

Well thats my point of view, and its exactly what i experienced 2 days ago. Of course putting a 3 foot pipe on a ratchet is never a good thing, but they both broke and both are being warrantied and now i realized Snap-on isn't perfect, much better and amazing yes, but tools will still fail.
