72" Stainless Steel Roller Cabinet @ Costco 569$!!!

Take out the drawers and wipe all the grease off the slides. I sprayed mine with Dupont multi-purpose lube. Night and day. Drawers slide freely and it takes far less force to "lock" them in. Did anyone else's cabinet come wrapped everywhere but the face? WTF?

72" Stainless Steel Roller Cabinet @ Costco 569$!!!

I bought this unit a few months back for $499 at my costco. I was planning on buying the HF 44" as well until the whalen 72" caught my eye. It's on par with the HF 44" imo. Big drawers have double slides. There is some wiggle in the wide drawers which is to be expected at this price point...

    Recommend me a durable paint

Does anyone know why CA has a ban on certain paints? They wont even allow gallons of plastidip to be sold in CA? What is it in the paint that isn't tolerated here?

Thanks. They got it on Amazon. Fingers are crossed that they will ship to CA. Should I bother with the hardener?

    Recommend me a durable paint

I got a squat rack, weight tree, and a few other metal items I'd like to freshen up with my HVLP. Please recommend me a durable paint. I've heard great things about John Deere Blitz Black, unfortunately I reside in CA. Anyone know how to go about getting a gallon of this stuff? If that is...

Advice on adding an air/water separator to my compressor

I plan on doing some painting with an HVLP gun and my compressor here soon. I understand adding a air/water separator is a must for painting. Can I add the filter right off the compressor? Or is the air too hot at that point? What do you guys recommend? Is something like this sufficient...

Anybody ever use or have any experience with Gearwrench torque wrenches.

It will randomly turn off. Or start flashing repeatedly. Or just reset the torque value back to the default while in the middle of using it. $250+ down the drain.

Anybody ever use or have any experience with Gearwrench torque wrenches.

I've had nothing but problems with mine. It's a little over 2 years old and Gearwrench has pretty much told me I'm SOL. I've only used the thing a dozen times or so. I don't plan on buying an electronic torque wrench after this experience.

OT, sorta: Home gym flooring over carpet

Sounds good. If it works for you, obviously stick with it. I've personally never experienced any joint pain while lifting on stall mats. Who knows, could just be genetics. Just remember.. Tendons and ligaments take longer to warm up due to poor blood circulation. take care.

OT, sorta: Home gym flooring over carpet

and why are stall mats wrong for powerlifting? And what do you mean by "give" then? I can't believe i'm actually entertaining this bro science, but i'm bored, so please, enlighten me. oh and ..."What you want are rubber tiles or rolls specifically designed to handle weights and other gym...

OT, sorta: Home gym flooring over carpet

That's the whole point of stall mats. That they don't give. Whether you are dead lifting, squatting or preforming oly lifts, it's best to stay away from a floor that gives as well as any sort of athletic shoe for the same reason. Do some reading on biomechanics if you're wondering why. This...

    Respirator advice

Thanks much for all the advice. I'll have to do more research on the subject as well as call around for pricing before i commit. Seems it's a lot more involved that I initially thought. Isn't that always the case though. Originally I thought I could get by on a harbour freight $15 HVLP, a...

    Respirator advice

Seriously. I'm having second thoughts now. I'll check with a few local body shops as to how much i'm looking at paying, if I do all the prep. I pretty much have always wanted to pick up an HVLP gun, mainly just to mess around with. Now that this hood needs to be re-cleared, it was the...

    Respirator advice

Would you spray a urethane clear with the half mask I linked? In a garage with the door wide open? Or is it not worth the health risk? I don't want to drop the coin on a supplied air mask, since this is a one time deal. How long would a non catalyzed clear last on average? Maybe I should...

    Respirator advice

I need to re-clear a carbon fiber hood on my car one of these days. I'll be picking up a decent HVLP to tackle this project. I've been educating myself on respirators over the past few days and had a few questions. I've been eyeing this 3M half mask. What do you guys think...
