Flipping over an 8 ft truck bed.

I like this idea. Cheap. Safe. Low manpower.

Flipping over an 8 ft truck bed.

You understand this 8ft box is sitting on sawhorses, in his suburban driveway. Theres no option of dragging it anywhere to find a tall enough tree. I wish this was easy, but it aint. Is there something we could fab up cheaply and quickly to "roll" this thing over with ?

Flipping over an 8 ft truck bed.

My friends truck was totaled in an accident. He bought it from the insurance and is repairing it. He bought a salvage truck box and they loaded it onto his trailer upside down so he can completely rustproof it. He managed to lift it off the trailer and put it on sawhorses (still upside down)...

    Refine the Design-the Garage/Office/Apartment

Thanks for the feedback. The second floor is intended initially to store extra "household" goods when we move. Later, it will store garage stuff. Remember, this is a temporary apartment that we (just the two of us) will be living in until the main house can be built later. The one window in...

    Refine the Design-the Garage/Office/Apartment

The perspective that was loaded is actually the REAR view. I like the idea of the double door at the (main) man-door entry. I could ride the bike right in instead of opening up the big overhead door. Good idea. By the way, ARCHTRADITIONS is the one who developed the design. . Check out the...

    Work bench paint?

Bought "Dutch Boy" Porch and Floor Polyurethane oil-based enamel that was in the "clearance" section of a local Meijers store. Was marked down from $23.99/gal to $4.70/gal. I bought all they had and have, so far, painted 2 16ft cargo containers and most of my shop equiptment with it. It takes at...

    Appartment Garage

I suppose you bought this for "the right price". Considering what I fear my 50 x 100 building will cost, I may have to re-think breaking ground. Zoning would be the only other question.

What did you pay for your Garage build Plans?

Ok, so I made a deal with Shawn at: www.archtraditions.com and he sent he a very brief conceptual fly around and a rear still perspective based on all the sketches and links from other GJ builds. So far I think he's pretty close to what I had in mind. Later, when I get the floorplan, I'll try...

    Anyone own rental property?

Did it once during the last recession. Never do it again. 99% of the people were scumbags who filled out the rental applications. I couldnt believe the credit background checks. Finally, I lucked out by renting the house our to a corporate re-lo who was being subsidized with the rent payment. I...

How to minimize rusty exaust manifold bolt/stud breakage?

I've done this recently on an old F250. sdowney717 is right. Heat 'um with a small torch, or by running the engine. Spray with KROIL (the best struff out there). Let it soak every day. Then slowly try to break them loose. If they dont want to budge, stop and repeat the process. Every one of...
