Is this a factory craftsman wrench?

I had some of those, didn't like them. I use open end wrenches to break the jam nut loose, do the adjustment with my fingers. Then about 1/2 turn to tighten the jam nut.

There is likely an elbow in the wall. Shouldn't be much of an issue changing out that ******.

Auto mechs, how often do you use deep sockets? Would you miss them?

Why not keep the deep socket you already have? FWIW, I've never had semi-deep or shallow sockets just several sets of standard and deep.

What's the one garage upgrade you wish you'd done sooner?

After many years of working on a gravel driveway. Roof and walls, were both upgrades for me. I'm very happy that I waited until I could afford the heated floor. People told me that outlets every 8 ft was overkill, I wish I'd added more. I also added more lighting. A/C (mini-splits) are nice but...

Questions on using concrete bonding agent

I've used a bonding agent to repair spalling. If it stays on the surface as you brush it on then pour your concrete before it dries. If it soaks in then wait for it to dry. Apply a second coat and pour concrete before that dries. The product I used (I don't recall exacty) was about the...

Ding filling in woodwork before painting

I usually use the Durham's putty posted earlier. For rotted wood or outdoors I used Albatron woodepox. The Albatron was better but also cost more.

    Tri Wing nut Socket

If it's a lot smaller. Maybe one of those gimic "one size fits all" sockets with spring mounted pins in it. (Usually sold just before father's day or Christmas). I've heard guys like them for wing nuts. I wouldn't a third wing to be much different.

    temp. wiring up standy generator

Not sure why you describe what want to do as temporary. An interlock or transfer switch and inlet can be installed on the building (or pole). No issue with plugging in a portable generator. That's how I set mine up. What is the fuel source for the generator you bought (propane or natural gas)...

Attached garage - knee wall insulation

I lined the inside of mine with rigid foam before I poured the floor. Where I have plywood walls I covered the foam with aluminum flashing. In the areas I drywalled I covered it with PVC sheeting.

    Unusual structure

I'd look in the basement/crawlspace. Is there a beam, post or wall beneath it? What about the rest of teh main floor, is there a wall in line with it. What additions have been added to the house? Are there any clues you can use to figure out what the original layout was.

Can you get one ultrasonic cleaner for everything or need different styles?

Size, heat, power level, frequency. My small one seems to do a better job on jewlery and other small items than if I put those same items in my large (more powerful/expensive one).

    Quality Dremel Style Tool?

The size of tehDremel tool is an advantage. The thin cut off wheels are also an advantage. I've often wanted larger diameter wheels. I did buy some Dereml cut off wheels that are 1 1/2" diameter but they fail where they attach to the shaft.
